Kick Ass Gym Music

Following the recent postings on the issue of gym music (and given how YouTube can be linked now), I would like to start a nomination procedure for the best gym tunes in the following classes

Best Music to get a Cardio Workout from

Best Music when you need that extra boost to finish a set

Best Chillout Music

Worst Music ever heard in a gym

I have my own particular nominations but won't post until some other people have put their nominations in

Welcome to the Jungle is by far one of my favorite songs for the gym.

The worst music would have to be anything that has something <100 bpm. Which is what half of the music my gym plays when the soccer moms are there. ><

The song I always listen to while benching is O2 by Orange Range. I like that there's a lot of conviction in the tone of the song. I also like Wana by the Back Horn, Pride by High and Mighty Color, Hito to shite Jiku ga Burete iru (lit. As a Person, I'm Quite Twisted) by Kenji Ohtsuki, and of course, What's Up, People?! by Maximum the Hormone.

...Yeah, I'm a weaboo, what of it? >_> In all seriousness, the last one gets me pumped like nothing else if I get really into it. Short version below:

In case you are wondering about that last one, that was used as a warmup for a kid's aerobics class in a leisure centre in Atherstone, Warwickshire in 1995

It's gotta be up tempo for me, I don't normally care what genre or how long ago it was recorded, but as long as it's fast paced!

If you are into Electronic music, this website is something for you.

It is like, almost every Dutch radio channel imaginable that is being played live, pumped into one central webpage.

Just click on any icon that has your genre (lots of electronic for those of you have like some beat) and listen. It has the current Artist and song title listed as each song plays.

Hope you like it, OH! And no Dutch is required, although, it might help if you want to know what the announcer is saying.

geniet ervan!
