Red face Wonder if that's the sign of a good work out?

Went to leave the gym last night around closing time after hitting back, for arms, and leg presses pretty hard and when I walked out the door I couldn't find my truck. I looked over to where it was parked and couldn't see it so I started looking around towards other parts of the fairly small lot and said "now where the hell did I park?!" to one of the employees who was standing next to me by the door. I looked over back in the direction I thought I'd parked it and realized that the Nissan Armada that was parked between me and my comparitively little SUV was completely hiding it! I then looked at the employee and said "Must be a sign of a good work out if I can't find my truck when I'm done!"

Anybody else have an experiance like that before?

Now that is funny....

Well, I have never had that experience, however I do have the experience of after an intense workout almost not being able to walk out to my car. And heaven help me if I drop something in the parking lot and I have to pick it up!
To me, that is my indication of a good workout..that and a dripping wet tshirt/sweatshirt.

And I tend to park right by or close to the front door, so that is probably why I never lose track of my car.

Post workout

Well, to add my two cents....

The most noteable experience I had after a hard leg workout:

I had had a protein drink afterwards at the gym, then drove home. When I got home, I bent over in my front yard to pick up the morning paper. As I was bending over, I suddenly, cleanly, opened my mouth and lost everything I'd ingested a few minutes earlier.

I'd read about people throwing up after a leg workout (John Defendis, early 80's bbr) but never experienced it before. This was the only time it ever happened to me. Now I find I just breathe REALLY deeply to even things out, and I'm o.k.

I've felt like puking but never gotten there, yet....

For me the sign of a good workout was after a really intense shoulder workout as I was walking up to the locker room I bumped into every doorway on the way up. My shoulders were wider than i had expected and it just seemed I couldn't move as I did when I went in.

I've heard people talking about wanting to puke after a hard leg workout, but never really had that feeling unless I had a good sized dinner and a lot of fluids (usually milk, ice tea, and/or water) shortly before arriving at the gym. There were a few times when I was first starting out that I really wasn't sure if I was going to make it out to my truck, then be able to get in and steer it home.

I had a real tough leg workout once and after a half hour of biking thrown in I had trouble stepping over the curb to get to my car.
