Pec Symmetry I have been making some gains on my chest, but I am having some problems with symmetry. The lower ridge and the meatier region under my left nipple is not as developed as my right. My right pec has a fuller and more squared off shape. This is becoming more noticeable through my shirts too! I do bench presses with dumbbells on incline and flat benches. In between sets, I will max out doing a variety of different push ups as well. Sometimes I will do some dips to work the lower pecs. I know that this is a cliche topic, but I have been using dumbbells specifically to avoid this problem! Any tips and help would be greatly appreciated. |

What you are doing is one of the best ways to avoid assymetry--working out with dumbells and free weights instead of machines should help. It may take time, and remember working out one side harder in order to catch up does not work well. The best advice I can give is to focus more on general mass building exercises---Squats and Deadlifts that may help you get more symmetry. |
