Normally I hate making connections but this character reminds me of Asuma from Naruto... they both smoke and everything. Perhaps this is fanart? |

Influences I know this will sound weird, but the pose of the figure in this drawing (head turned to the side, arms down with bare torso exposed) actually reminds me of a very early (quatracentto) painting of the "Martyrdom of St. Sebastian", which is one of the earliest and most emblematic naturalistic paintings in western art. The painting was one of the first examples of a naturalistic style of painting, which used modeling of the human figure to add depth and texture to the canvas. This was a movement away from the flat, static figures of early Church art, which often had the effect of flat images colored in.
