Boyfriend kicked a guy's ass over me.

Hey y'all.

So, I'm not particularly muscular. I'm actually rather scrawny, but it's not like I look malnourished. I'm 19, by the way. Anyway, there's this guy who is a year younger than me. He was a skinny thing his freshmen year in high school (I was a sophomore), but I noticed that he got HUGE during the two years after that. From what I know about him now, he has been doing Muay Thai for about eight years, 'cause his dad is a MMA teacher in our hometown.

Anyway, I went off to college, somehow passed my freshman year (lol) and am now a sophomore. Well, lo and behold; the same guy from my high school that I mentioned previously enrolled at the university I'm attending. He's part of the wrestling team, and has gotten substantially bigger since the last time I saw him.

Anyway, that's only the beginning. After a lot of flirting around, blahblah, he came out to me and we started dating. It's kind of weird, 'cause I'm a year older than him but he easily outweighs me by about 70 lbs.

So, here's where the point of this topic comes in. Yesterday, we were at a mall near the school, clothes shopping (so gay, I know). Anyway, while he's in the dressing room trying on some jeans, this man walks up to me. He looked to be about 20 years old or so, and he probably outweighed me by about 40 lbs. Anyway, I guess he found out I was gay? Small town Illinois doesn't mind much for discretion.

So I start to get scared. Call me a pansy, but I'm not a confident guy when some jock is standing in front of me, purposly intimidating me. He didn't have to say anything else; I knew what he was trying to get at.

He proceeded to call me a 'faggot (god forbid) amongst other things, and pushed me into a wall near the dressing rooms. I assume my boyfriend hears the noise, so he came out of the dressing room to see what's going on. What do you know? He sees his boyfriend (me) getting manhandled. It's funny how homophobes tend to utilise actions that are homoerotic in nature to express 'authority' over us gays :B

So, the next thing I know, my boyfriend grabs the guy by his shoulder and throws him clear across the room. Before I know it, my boyfriend is literally punching this guy's teeth in. It was kind of brutal to watch. Of course, we had to deal with the police, but after our situation was explained, we were free to go. I don't think I have to tell you how much he enjoyed my personalised 'thank you'

Sorry if this was a bit long. I figured y'all would enjoy this story, though.

guy prolly go around saying he got in an accident rather then say he got his ass beat by a "pansy" weakness is in the eye of the beholder besides did you know they guy wtf ?

And no, I didn't know the guy. I really don't get how he could've known about my sexuality. Okay, I'm out and all, but it's not like I walk around with a shirt that says, "HEY GUYZ I'M A FAGGOT!". Small town, I guess.

Amazing how some people think they can just do anything they wish....and don't think there will be consequences.

I can only imagine the look of the guy when your boyfriend came from out of the dressing room. Did he see him come out before he got his ass handed to him?

It's a shame the amount of ignorance that is out there.

It's great that your boyfriend came out and stood up for you, and I know I would have too under the circumstances as I feel it is the duty of good to stand between good and evil. And in this case, the stupidity of a dumb-ass 20 year old homophobe...

I know, right? Honestly, it disgusts me. I hope that guy learnt his lesson. Unfortunately, he'll probably prey on even smaller guys that can't defend themselves.

It happened literally in a few seconds. As far as I know, the guy probably didn't see him. He was too busy keeping his face an inch from mine as though he wanted to kiss me (which I wouldn't be surprised if he did, because he's most likely a self-oppressed gay guy). It took my boyfriend one second to throw him, one to get on top of him (I'm pretty sure it's called "mounting" in the world of MMA, and probably the same as 'straddling' which I guess is a wrestling term. I'm no jock, so I couldn't tell you :B), twelve(?) seconds to throw ~15 punches to the mouth/skull, and then of course the overweight security guards who actually (in my town, at least) know nothing about security. It was more like a "Well, I hope this guy stops beating the crap out of this other guy, or I'll have to call the police." for the guard, I suppose. But, we're not troublemakers, so he stopped when the sec. guard came.

It's a shame the amount of ignorance that is out there.

I know what you mean. Not to quote MLK or anything, but I dream of a day where homophobia is a rare ocurrence, such as genuine sexism against women is today. I say 'genuine' because everyone knows sexist jokes can be quite the knee-slapper :B

Sigh. I hate you. I really do. You lucky .... aaaaaaargh. I really wouldn't mind a guy (especially one Im dating) doing that for me. Sorry, I mean I would probably try and stop him from killing the prick. Though not fast at first. heh. Anyway, yeah the personalised thank you. Yep that would be my direction of gratitude to. However in my case, he would've gotten his first "thank you" in one of the dressing rooms.

Okay, actually I get all flustered when guys start going at each other, really. Yet I am fascinated by the violence. Does that make sense? Agh well... lucky you I suppose.

Can relate somewhat. I to am slightly built & one time when @ a bank machine had some guy wanting my money (as if). Anyhow, bf arrived at the right time & stood between us. No fight, but ready to protect if necessary.

Sometimes a bit of well placed visual intimidation works out nicely, especially when the potential attacker realizes that it may not go his way if things were allowed to escalate
