I can tell you it is a real challenge to run a website such as this where there is alot of opinion as to what qualifies as a bodybuilder physique and what does not. Due to this I decided some time ago to let the greater community on our website cast their votes (anonymously) regarding the addition of new members. A photo from your application (face removed, your identity is not revealed) that shows your physique, is displayed within our website to allow members to vote on the membership type (Bodybuilder or Admirer) they feel is the most appropriate to offer the pending member. The total of these votes is never revealed to the community, and this process is all detailed in our Terms and Conditions of Service. I do believe this process is the fairest way to ensure we maintain a certain level of physique amongst our Bodybuilder community, by allowing the involvement of our members.

Please do not feel that I personally, nor any one individual, think that you are not a "real" bodybuilder, weight trainer or serious lifter. On the contrary, I applaud anyone who involves themselves in this sport and shows an interest in the development of their physique. For this particular community, however, I have made the decision to allow the members of the community to shape the way in which the member base evolves.

I do ask for your understanding, and I also thank you for your interest in the community.

Rejection is rejection.

I'm old enough to know how to deal with it or to know when I can't deal with it.

Sometimes I fool myself into thinking (a) I won't be or (b) I'll deal. I was wrong on both counts, this time.

You can't be all things to all people. Your approach is as fair as any I've seen for a site than aspires to a certain "standard." I just don't like being considered *sub* standard.

Hello Richard,

I do appreciate your understanding mate. When I first put together this website I was perhaps a little naive in thinking that the addition of members would be a straightforward process, but nothing could be further from the truth. As an administrator, it is also difficult when the opinions of others do not necessarily reflect my own opinions, however I have to stick with the process I have now set in place.

Please also know that I am the last person in the world that likes to see someone disappointed or feeling rejected. I guess I also take it personally when someone is in any way hurt or adversely affected by something that I have set in place.
