| Yep, and that's something that probably warrants a more general discussion at some point. Once upon a time I totally offended my dad and mom by saying, in response to one of those Big Brother / Big Sister sappy commercials they used to have on network TV in the 60s and 70s, "ooh, wouldn't it be cool to have a big brother like that!" I never occurred to me that the Big Brothers program was for kids who didn't have fathers. Of course, it never occurred to my dad to do anything with me and my brothers other than yell at us. << shrugs >> I have a mentor / big brother / coach now. His name is Josh, he's my trainer, and he's half my age. How mixed up is that? :: sigh :: Better late than never, I guess... Richard |
