I'm no longer that age but I remember it. I was in terrible shape then. Then my other-half died and I had learn to live alone again without all the good cooking. I'm 5'10", & went from 220 fat back to 180 trim in 6 months. Then built up muscle to 220 "hot" over a period of 10 years between 40 and 50. Best years of my life. "Life begins at 40"!

Hi Gene,

That was an inspiring reply, turning tragedy into triumph :-) Im really pleased to hear that there is a good few years of productive training lying ahead of me as, unfortunately, most of the guys at the gym seem to be barely out of school and I was beginning to wonder if 40+ training was possible !

Sounds like you found a new interest in life. Are you still training now?
