Actually, unless you're the original author, it generally isn't considered appropriate to go posting someone's work without their approval. If the story's available on some site, obviously posting a link is totally fine. But if the story's unavailable, it may be because the author no longer wishes to share it. So, consider yourself lucky for having gotten your copy while you could, and please don't reproduce others' work without permission. (Giving credit to the original author is always necessary, but that alone doesn't make it OK to post their work.)
