Muscle artists. Hey there, looking to get in touch with muscular artists or artists who are interested in musculature also. I am doing a BVS at University and would love to get some talking going here in relation to muscle and art. |

hi...I'm a painter...nothing homo-erotic or related to muscle (yet anyway)....and have discovered my inner bodybuilder....so I guess I'd fit into the musclular artist category. Last edited by gymgaymtl; March 19th, 2011 at 10:15 AM. |

I agree I really[ enjoyed Swoop and for some reason Transitional (#6) was so calming . It's too bad I'm broke =/ Oops--sorry for not contributing to the thread topic though; As for musculature in drawing, personally I've realized that I can draw the male physique from memory (my eyes have had too much practice in that dept. I guess ) Even outside of the sexual context, I really appreciate the male physique and I honestly slip into a trance when drawing it, as it comes quite naturally to me |

i ran a gay men's sketch group here in columbus ohio for seven years, and was part of the same thing in SF before that, although I didn't run that one, was just part of it. when i chose models, i often chose a muscular one, since i love drawing muscles. i have probably 200 sketchbooks of men drawn in charcoal, pastel and oil pastel, on 18x24 colored paper. the more the definition, the better i liked them. been having a hard time with dying parents and health issues the last two years, but will start drawing group again when i am past the hard time. anyone want to model in columbus? |
