I know what you mean, I'm in Canada and don't have access. To get the site working I used a proxy program, you can find a ton on google. They even allow Hulu to work outside of the US.

MTV.com is blocked in alot of countries but I guess your lucky. If I visit the site without the proxy it blocks video saying "is not available in your area" and recommends me to go to MTV.ca which doesn't have the same content.

i remember, its mostly the humululu (?) links that are posted here and there on this website that I couldnt access ... but this one does for some reason.

I think you meant to say "Hulu"... "Humululu" is the forum's member (tee-hee, member) that makes all those awesome animations!
