Duplicate threads

Lately there have been a lot of people posting threads on a topic that already has a thread created only days (or even hours) before. I'm not a mod so this is just a friendly reminder that the search tool is our friend. Use it to check if someone has covered what you want to talk about. It's one thing when a thread is old but even then there's nothing wrong with resurrecting an old thread with new, relevant info. Duplicate threads create confusion, especially if you end up posting in two threads on the same topic and can't remember which one is which. Also, you might think no one is paying attention to your topic when they're really just chatting away about it in a different thread. So remember: Search is our buddy, duplicate threads aren't.

Want to agree 100% with this and point out that some people intentionally create the same topic in multiple forums. This is really unnecessary.
