Best way to get rid of bodyhair to show off? I've made some great progress over the past year, such as losing 50 pounds of fat and bulking up a bit. I'm proud to say I'm no weakling anymore, and I look very good with a shirt on. I'd look good with it off too, but the bodyhair kind of ruins it. It's dark and covers the parts that kind of need to be smooth in order to be beach-ready. And hairy folks stick out like a sore thumb on the beach, well, at least the beach I go to. It's never a pretty sight either. ATTACK OF THE DREADED BACK HAIR!... Luckily I just have hair on my shoulder blades and around my neck. Otherwise... Yuck. I've been mulling over options, and there's only one that makes perfect sense. An electric bodyhair razor or shaver or whatever it's called. They're designed to go over the most delicate parts of a man's body, with careful precision of course. So they could easily go over my abdomen and chest without causing much of a problem. The problem is though, I don't know which one to get. I figured a site like this where men have to get rid of their body hair for posing would be of help. Basically, are there any cheap (as in under 100 dollars) electric razors that can help make my torso look smooth? I am also aware that I would have to constantly shave every few days to keep it smooth, so I'm not expecting some sort of miracle worker that keeps it off for weeks. |

You should just keep it. body hair is hot IMO. __________________ "It's your head, It's your heart, lost somewhere, missing parts" -Goldfrapp (Alison Goldfrapp) "I know, the void. The void, knows me. It keeps us weak, the void told me." -Planningtorock (Janine Rostron) |

You should be able to find a set of clippers for a good price as a store like CVS or Duane Reade. Also, hair-removal solutions like Nair could do the trick. __________________ Rule 34: If it exists, there's porn of it. If not, it will be made. Exception: You can't invoke rule 34 on itself. |

I don't mind having a hairy chest, but I'm not a fan of the back. Been wondering about this too for a bit. Question: with nair and things like that, does the hair grow back? |

I agree, but not mine. To put it bluntly, I have a "happy forest", not a happy trail. Many, and I mean maaaaaany people prefer not to see so much hair on a person while at the beach. All the other hairy guys at the beach are old and don't care, or they have much less hair coverage than me. I also went over the options. Laser lasts forever and costs. A fortune. It also requires more than one treatment. Nooooot worth it. Waxing lasts for 4 to 8 weeks depending on the rate of hair growth. My beard grows in oretty quickly... So I can safely assume I will be spending well over 100 bucks +tip every month. I would also need to wax everything in order for it to look even and "natural" Hair removal cream is harsh on the skin, but it is basically like waxing without the pain. However, my skin is incredibly smooth, and hair removal creams would probably dry the hell out of it. Both the ladies and the guys like it, so I'd rather not risking one of my "natural gifts". It's also expensive... Electric Razors are a one time payment and can be used for years. It's also a the least harsh hair removal option. It requires much upkeep, but what's 10-30 mins of daily maitenence? Women do it everyday, so can a man lol. Different trimmers allows me to make things look more natural, so that's even better. That's why I'm asking if anyone here uses a good electric razor that can totally. Remove visible hair, as in no stubble, for a few days. |

Either way, from what you said I would go with the razor then. Easiest, cheapest, and it's not hard to do. Personally though, I'd try trimming it first, and see how that looks. Sometimes that's all you need to do to show definition. If that doesn't work out then just rid all of it. __________________ "It's your head, It's your heart, lost somewhere, missing parts" -Goldfrapp (Alison Goldfrapp) "I know, the void. Had laser on my back. It was TOTALLY worth it. It's not that expensive these days if you don't have that much hair, and it sounds like you don't. It does take more than one treatment, but each treatment reduces the amount of hair. |

I actually shave my chest and abs in the shower with a good disposable razor about once a week then trim up with an electric razor in between. I can't get it smooth enough with just the electric. |

I don't think the blades on electric razors last that long, and they aren't cheap to replace. A set of hair clippers, the adjustable kind by wahl or whatever, is fine for chest and abs, and anything else you can reach. The blades last a long time, and while you aren't baby smooth, you don't have visible hair for a few days. Back and shoulders are going to be a challenge no matter what. |
