Angry Inability to Edit and/or Delete Posts in Most Forums

It's been really frustrating when I make any sort of mistake on my posts lately, mainly the Watch Me Grow section. The inability to edit or delete posts is an absolutely important feature that shouldn't be disabled whatsoever. Can someone explain what the logic is in keeping that ability disabled?

Not being able to change a post prevents people from changing the wording when sparks fly. What you see is what you get. No way to avoid having your ill thought out words shoved back down your throat.

In my day we learned to write with pens in 4th grade. The teacher drummed into us the saying "Think before you ink!"

These days of computer word processors we're getting lazy and sloppy because we can correct our misteaks (sic) as fast as we make them. But I've also noticed that we tend to spit out words without thinking. Especially the texting junkies who just sputter consonants and hope the momentary thought finds someone who's thought processes are just as fragmented.

If not being able to call back your words becomes a real problem, then try writing with a word processor outside of the forum, then proof read it and then when satisfied, copy & paste into the forum input field.

Remember the definition of communication: "Communication is an exchange of mutually understood symbols."
