DallasMuscle Training Log

Well, it's Monday and I'm training Hamstrings and Chest this morning. Getting there early to train Leg Curls on my own. My sometimes-workout partner should be arriving a little later to train chest. He's a great guy (straight) but he doesn't train legs for all of the various excuses we've all heard before. I have rarely found anyone who enjoys training legs like I do or as often as I do. But, for chest, he's a good workout partner.

Another AWESOME workout!

Just back from the gym. Had a fantastic workout session this morning. Trained hamstrings before my chest workout partner arrived. Due to the limited time, I did it intensely. Started out with lying leg curls and then moved over to standing single-leg hamstring machine. I did stiff-legged deadlifts over the weekend so my hams are thoroughly trashed...but in a good way!

My weight is moving back up again. The last time I weighed in, I was at 168. This morning, I was at 172. Progress!

Time to train arms this morning. But, before my upperbody workout partner gets there, I'll do some squats!

Update 062505

Been having some GREAT workouts lately. The compliments I've been getting from the folks at work have really helped. Okay, they've gone to my head but they still help! Odd how a little hard work pays off.

On another note, I've always kept my hair short but about a month ago, a cop friend of mine was at the gym and he had a marine-style haircut. I liked the way it looked on him and how it made him look "tougher" and more masculine. So, monkey-see; monkey-do. I went and got one. I loved it. I loved the look and I especially love the attention. I don't know if it had anything to do with it but my boss came by yesterday and told me that when my company got a new contract, I'd be made the supervisor. So, good on me I guess!

that's great news dallas! Also, I wanted to reply because only one person, marco, has said anything about your thread. I agree, short buzzed hair works well with a muscled body. Keep it up!!

I appreciate the comments. It's Sunday morning and today, I'm training back and biceps. This is always my favorite time to train...no one at the gym just me! And it's great to be able to go down the rack on curls and not have to fight for the weights! I've been adding a lot of hammer curls to my routine. Found a good inspiration photo of Mat Duvall doing them so I'll keep that in my head during today's workout. If anyone wants it, just e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll send it to ya.
