Talking Beans (The Magical Fruit)

So a while back I got REALLY sick of eating sweet potatoes every day, and I was looking for another healthy carb I could introduce into my diet. I stumbled upon beans, a food I LOVE, both whole and refried (without lard of course).

My question now, since my searching on bodybuilding.com has been fruitless (ha), is are beans a good effective muscle-building carb?

I've factored them into my macro/calorie count, but will they do the job just as well as sweet potatoes?

It depends how well your body digests the beans. If you frequently feeling bloated and/or gassy after eating them, best to take them in moderation and add other carb sources.

Well, Beans are nutritious and economical, and the leftovers are often delicious the next day. I always love them rather than eating potatoes.

I substitute beans for meat because it very nutritious and follows dietary guidelines. I eat at least 1-3 cups of beans per week. Adding beans to my meal is the finest way to lower my calories and help out with maintaining my diet.
