This video would've been a million times better if he a) didn't put all those bullshit inspirational quotes, b) if it was telling the truth.

Hard work in the gym leading to a 65 lb gain in 10 months? Right.

Nothing irritates me more than a teenage boy thinking he's smarter than the rest of humanity.

It is possible. Huge gains like that from those that have never lifted before are possible, especially those that have higher muscle density than most. But it really depends on how tall he is.

So, I guess I'd like to know how tall he is.

Judging from the doorway pic... I'd say he's somewhere between 6' 2" - 6' 4".

As far as the amount of weight goes. He's packed on quite a bit of size, but if you notice it's not massively cut and defined, so there is a lil bit of fat to it. Normal gains listed for most people during a one year time frame is supposed to be around 20lbs or so... I've had one friend that was up to around 25 lbs/ year.

65lbs.... I'd say the only way I see it really being possible, 1. he looks very young and very skinny at the beginning, I'm betting this is right after his growth spurt so he began to workout when his body was filling out after a growth spurt, that might help add a few more than normal pounds and 2. Like I said he looks a lil smooth, swole out, so I'm guessing there's a lil bit of a percentage of body fat there as well, which would also make sense if he's filling out from just growing. In which case, how much fat weight is usually added per 20-25 lbs of lean muscle one is packing on when one bulks up? Cause they don't usually just blow up with massive, cut, defined, muscle, they pack on muscle and fat, and then par down for contests.

Would that make it possible to do the 65? Don't know, but I do know, I'm not buying it as 65lbs of lean muscle mass as he looks too smooth.

Actually, I do believe he did gain 65 lbs because he was gaining 5 lbs a month. If he is that tall, then it is possible to gain more weight because of the height differential. Taller guys can hold more weight, thus you get the larger weight gain.

He appears to be quite religious so be nice guys. As long as he isn't attacking anyone, don't worry about it. His tatts all have religious meanings so I would say that he credits his success to a higher power.

Bodybuilding during maturation can offer extreme results without anabolic steroids. When I joined my first gym at 19, I went from 165-205 in less than a year. And of course there was a little fat on top (just a few more % than there was to begin with), but I looked like I doubled in size and strength in a very short amount of time- drug free.

The initial impulse to accuse other men of steroid use (coming from steroid users, too) stems from feelings of inadequacy and a lack of bodybuilding knowledge. That's a very normal male feeling. So what can you do about it?

See your own potential. Do your bodybuilding homework. Anyone can do it: with or without drugs.

Seeing as how I'm not a steroid user, nor do I feel inadequate, your assertion that my criticisms are leveled due to those reasons is invalid. I'm 29 years old and being jealous of a teenager isn't on my bucket list of things to do.

I don't even know where to start on this. Religious affiliation as a measure of honesty? Uh huh.

It must be nice to live in a magical world where everyone's honest. As for me, I live in this cruel place called "Reality" where dishonesty is used quite liberally and people will go to ANY lengths to portray an image. Teenagers have a monopoly on trying to look good whilst being socially accepted. This boy is no different, Jesus tattoos or not.

People make a common mistake of weight gain with muscle gain. the two are different. physically the human body can only add in lean muscle mass on average 15 lbs a year. Please notice i said lean muscle mass, not just mass, a 65 lb weight gain is possiable but i seriously dount it. So please understand that weight gain isnt all muscle.
