Someone else has posted this video as if you hadn't already the day before. I don't think it was an intentional slight so much as a compliment to the craziness and cleverness that went into this thing. Very clever for the first two thirds. And excellent comic acting.

This Bodybuilder is Clive Salz from Cologne, Germany. He competed in the 90?s and was WABBA world champion, I think.

Now he has grown older, not that big anymore, but still working in Cologne, BodyShop, Bonner Wall. He coaches several german boxers over there.

While I understand you really just mean that as a compliment, echoing the propaganda of a dictator who had millions of people killed because he believed in a particularly vicious paranoid conspiracy theory is... well, "in bad taste" is putting it extremely mildly.

Sorry, I'm not German. But any chance to flaunt, well you know. It's not the fault of the Germans that they worked their asses off, rebuilt a solid inductrial infrastructure and unlike the US have not allowed it to be replaced by the "service industries". They are regaining a place in the world that they lost so long ago that we forgot they were still there. But it's important to remember this aint our dad's Germany, 1/3 of the kids in school are Turkish-Germans. Chancellor Merkel says young people in Europe should move if they can't find a job in the home country, i.e. to countries like Germany. So racism is not what is was in Deutschland. And so many new Turkish-Germans prefer English, and so many young Germans speak it so fluently that if there weren't 80 million people there I'd say there was a good chance of German following Irish into the dustbin of history. But there is still a chance it might. Denglish is alive and well. And the Germans, well it's time for Hollywood to stick it to the Japanese for a change. The woman who wrote the prize winning Rape of Nanking committed suicide. I can't make myself read it. After Inglorious Bastards it's time to end hunting season on the Krauts for a while. And oh yeah, "master race" is probably inappropriate to bring up in public spaces. It certainly isn't something that brings a smile to a German face.

The US would be fine with service industries provided we hadn't also permitted the FIRE sector (Financial, Insurance, and Real Estate) to become so large and essentially unregulated. That, in combination with a vastly overfunded military which eats up the majority of tax revenue (more than 60% of the discretionary budget as of 2012 goes to military and "security" agencies) is sucking all the money out of the country.

On the other hand, of course, it's precisely because the FIRE sector gained so much power that we have lost so many manufacturing jobs (and the ones remaining are ununionized and therefore generally pay much worse than they used to). Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
