[COLOR=white]Ours is a fairly different story, Quinn?s and mine. We both came from different sides of the country, not having met one another before, yet we were so much alike. When I met him in person for the first time, I was actually surprised.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?[/COLOR][COLOR=white]You must be Quinn?? I asked.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?And you?re Ethan, I presume??[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Pleasure to meet you.?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?And you as well.?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]Oh. The meeting? What happened? How did it occur? Well. First, let me describe myself and Quinn. [/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]I was twenty-one at the time, Quinn was a couple of months older. He had very dark black hair and violet eyes. Yes, very unusually bright purple eyes. His black hair was cut short, his eyebrows a bit thick. He was from Washington, D.C. I, on the other hand, had sea foam green eyes and sandy blonde hair. I was from Frisco.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]I kept a short goatee on my face, and when I asked Quinn about it, he said he wasn?t able to grow facial hair. A grown man of twenty-one years! Very strange indeed. As a matter of fact, he said the only body hair he had other than his eyebrows, lashes, and head hair, was his pubic region, a little under and a little atop his arms. In contrast, I was quite a hairy young man.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]We both lived in Rhode Island at the time, so when I posted on the Warwick?s Town Gym bulletin board that I was in need of the gym partner, he answered.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]Anyways. Let?s move on to when we met at a local coffee shop.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Well? Quinn. Tell me your stats.? I said.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Wha-?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Your statistics, Quinn. Like weight and height and all that.?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Oh well? as you can see? I?m fairly short? Only about 5?7?. Um. I weigh about 160 pounds.? And it did show, Quinn was a bit muscular, as was I, but I was six-foot-one and weighed 210 pounds. I told him so.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?I think we match each other well.? I said. I believed so as well. ?There?s only two problems Quinn.?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?And what is that?? He looked so innocent with that question.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Well? for starters? I?m gay.?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Oh? well? I am too. Haha??[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Oh. Really? Well that?s good! Er- I mean? Not that. Yeah. No. That relieves on of the problems, I suppose.?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Is the other my vertical challenges??[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Wha-?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Is it because I?m short?? Oh? Well this is awkward. He hit the nail on that one.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Um. Well? That might be a problem considering I am a half-a-foot taller than you??[/COLOR]

[COLOR=white]?Well. I?ll have you know. That will cease being a problem very soon.? He said. He paused and looked at his watch. ?I believe that it is the time that we?ve allotted for ourselves.? He stood up. [/COLOR]
[COLOR=white]?I bid thee good well sir.? He winked, shook my hand, and then left.[/COLOR]


[COLOR=white]I wonder what surprises are going to come my way with this man?[/COLOR]

Interesting beginning. I like the details about one guy from the East coast, one from the west coast and they meet in Warwick, Rhode Island. That's just enough detail, and quirky ones at that, to seem realistic!

Can't wait to see more!
