This thread will feature young BBs who are easy to look at and seem to have potential. I plan to post occasionally as I come across guys who fit--and I hope others will as well.

BINAIS BEGOVIC is 23 and was born in Montenegro. His family moved to Malmo, Sweden some years ago; he's won the Swedish junior title. He shows up fairly frequently on European sites/forums, seems to be quite dedicated and ambitious and has his own site (in English) at: www.binaisbegovic.com

Really curious to see your reactions to this guy.

He's a German natural bodybuilder/kickboxer/model of Lebanese heritage who turns 26 later this week. At nearly 6' 2" (187 cm) and 205 lbs (93 kg) he's taller and leaner (not to mention less cut) than most. The only other stuff I know about him is first that he seems to have an affinity for posing next to large phallic symbols (see pics # 4 and 5) and second that he is one of three Issa brothers (in pic #6, his older brother Fadi is on the right, Mohammed on the left).

Two rising Asian-American BBs:

Jason Huh, a 21 year old from Sarasota, Florida, won the 2004 NPC Teen Nationals and is now up to 5' 10" and 200 lbs (250 offseason). His father is a former Mr. Korea.

Daryl Gee's in his late 20's but has only competed since 2003. A personal trainer from Sacramento, he placed third in the Middleweights in the 2005 NPC Nationals. Daryl is 5' 6" and will compete next at about 200 lbs. See www.musclegallery.com and www.strengthnet.com for more of Daryl.

I tried Googling "Jon Perrier". Not much: several bad links and just a couple of tidbits--that he lives (or lived) in "Canyon Country, CA", and is originally from Maine--oh, and also that he's 6 feet tall (that came as a shock--for some reason I would have guessed he was shorter).

He's in his mid-twenties and lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is 6' 1/2" tall, 235 lbs. and placed 3rd in the Heavyweights in the 2006 World Gym Championships.

He's only 19 and has been competing for several years, winning the Czech teen championship at 17. He's not too big yet: 5'9", 175 lbs. competition weight (200 off season).

There's a short profile on this guy at www.posedown.de (right on the homepage--21.April 2006).

I believe, from the tiny bit of German I know, it says he's from Hamburg, took a long break since last competing in 2003 and is 220 lbs. (100 kilos) in these photos taken several weeks ago. (German speakers, please correct or add info.)

I deliberately didn't update on Benfatto because the tale is a little baroque and depressing.

First, he had "visa problems" that prevented his entry into the US (he has been living in South Africa, I think--French citizen, Italian name, South African resident), Then, he was set to make his return (which he eventually did)) at the Australian Grand Prix (?name), but was arrested coming into Australia with hundreds of pills (Ecstasy? Oxycontin? Can't remember, but it wasn't gear). I'm assuming he was trying to pay for his trip. It's all covered on the net in excruciating detail.

He did get in and competed respectably but I don't think top ten. I don't have pics and I kind of lost interest in the saga after the arrest. It kind of ruins an otherwise inspiring story.

Second, what he was actually arrested for at the airport at Perth enroute to the show in the Gold Coast was false customs declaration and bringing in the following: a total of 33 Ritalin tablets (11 initially found in luggage, 4 in the socks he was wearing! and 18 upon further searching), 22 Noxiderm (whatever that is) and 926 ! Valium. He ended up pleading guilty and paying a hefty fine. I don't know about "asshole"--weird, certainly. Maybe someone who knows more about this can explain the combination of pills.

A 20 year old amateur from Paris, Fehd is 6' tall and currently 220 lbs (he plans to get to 240+ for a competition late this year). He recently won his third French junior title in 3 years and is seen as something of a BB prodigy (because of his performance and progress to date as well as his great potential). He also studies Applied Mathematics/Information Science.

The second pic below is from the competition Fehd won last month and the last shows him in the gym next to a humongous Pascal Dumini. Enjoy!
