Question Full Machines

I currently go to Planet Fitness.
And sometimes after you finish with one exercise machine the next one on the routien is full (all stations of it). [And assume all the cardio equipment is in use as well]
And they're all being used properly, no one is just useing it as a seat or useing it for a not intended exercise.

What would be a good filler till the machine you need is available?
Most I can think of is to walk that little inner track around the room.

Use a different machine and come back to it.

Changing the sequence of your workout won't make a damn bit of difference. If anything, you should be changing it up.

Better yet, go and use some free weights. Almost all machines are designed to duplicate a free weight movement, but restrict the movement itself, which reduces effectiveness.

I go along with Aielyn. Dumbells are quick as you don't have to load them and can get on quick with them. Also if the rack is arranged properly you can go up or down in weight easily. Just don't stand around getting frustrated! People should in any case be willing to share a station while they are resting between sets. It's just good manners and they are always obliging if I ask in my gym.

Free Weights. I did not think about those. I normaly on the otherside of the room and they're out of line of sight.

Lunges. No machine or weights needed. Or step up-on and down-off a bench.
