contest prep

Ok there are a few of us here who do compete so I figured it would be cool to post my contest prep ( nutrition and supplements ) here and if i can figure out how to do pictures them too. Anyway I am doing this so everybody sees how it is done. I hope you all like and feel free to ask questions. I am looking at either the NPC Garden State june 22 or the NPC Philly show june 29 and then NPC Masters Nationals July 19-20

the goal is to get that Pro card and become a I.F. B.B. pro

So here is My Nutrition which starts tomrrow

Cardio 5x a week 25 minutes heart rate between 125-140

meal 1 4 whole omege 3 eggs with 4 egg whites . 1 cup of oats
or 1/2 cup cream of wheat or cream of rice

meal 2 7 ox chicken with 1 oz almonds or cashwes, or unsalted
peanuts

meal 3 7 oz chicken with 1 oz almonds/ walnuts and 8 oz yams
or 1 cup brown rice

meal 4 50g whey isolate with 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter
or 7 oz of chicken or turkey or white fish with salad and
1 tablespoon of olive oil

meal 5 7 oz salmon or red meat( top round or filet) green salad
with 1 tablespoon of oil and vingar

meal 6 50g whey isolate with 2 tablespoons of natural peanut butter
or 4 onega 3 egges and 4 egg whites

post workout 50 g whey isolare with 2 tablespoons of nat peanut
butter or 1 oz almonds


now i dont know if i shoud put the goodies but here you are
some of these are peptides and some arent

prop 300mg per week
eq 500 mg per week
tren 300mg per week
win 50mg 4x per week
clen 20mcg up to 80mcg
t-3 start at 25 mcg up to 50 mcg
arimmedex 1mg eod

some of these one starts at the beginning of their prer other are added in 8 weeks out it all depends on how your body respondas

my workouts are a 3 on 1 off cycle for now if you want to see it let me know and i will post it.

during contest prep cardio is first thing in the am and first meal is right after so i try for about 3 hrs apart depending on the day

Thanks for posting this, Big Joey. I'm going "from fat to fit" with a goal of competing sometime in the next 2 years, so I'm paying special attention to contest prep, and really appreciate it when guys who've done it or are doing it post about their nutrition, their habits, mindset, anything.

just realize that everybody metabolism responds different to cutting for a contest. some guys have to rotate carbs others dont respond to the ketogenic plan or the anabolic diet. So what works for me will not work for everybody. some guys are carb senative and that makes prep harder. One of my clients is that way so it's constant adjusting to his plan that makes it intersting. If you want more detailed info drop me a note.

For now I think morning cardio is the one thing I am going to adapt. Dieting is one thing I have problems with. I may be carb sensitive. One thing I always had problems with is calculating how much food I have to eat to lose fat or gain muscle efficiently. The one time i have done cutting I found that my meal plan wasn't very effective, making me lose muscle and getting me to the "fit" body type as opposed to my bodybuilding goal.

I haven't pursued this in a while which is why it sparked my interested to follow your thread and see how things go for you. I hope to learn from it.

hey everybody here is a update I got to 221.4 lbs before I started my cut . So things are going well at this time I am 205.8 so if prep goes well I may do the Atlantic states show which is the first weekend in june but I still may stick to the Garden State show which is june 22. Will keep you poasted

ok here is the latest . It's been a while since i poasted any info. Its about 5 months till i start cutting for Team Universe . It's a pro qualifer show and the goal is a pro card. If not there then masters nationals 2 weeks later.
So with that in mind and the help of a pro buddy we mapped out a trip to the dark side.
