Lifting your own weight

One of my personal goals is to lift my own weight for each major bodypart exercise. So far, chin up, dips, squats, calf raises, and bench press posed no problems. I'm rapidly approaching my target with military press.

Is it possible to even curl a barbell matching your own weight? (currently curling 90lb for 6 reps)

It's probably doable for a particular size range. If you're between 140 and 200, you could probably curl your bodyweight, if you were really strong. Trouble is, if you're strong enough to curl 200# you're probably more than 200#.

I'm weighing in at 150lb right now, hoping to cut another 5lb for the summer, and break 100lb for curls

theunknown is an unknown quantity at this point
Not a bad goal at all. Today I lifted around 140 in bench, so that's about 40 more pounds or so to go for me.

Good luck getting there!

Might be possible for curls, depending on how heavy you are. When I looked up curl records for a story, IIRC 150 is unusual, and 200 would mean you would be likely to be setting a local record.

The three lifts to aim for this in are Squat, Deadlift and Bench Press.

It should be doable in all three. In Squat and deadlift you should be able to do double bodyweight pretty easily.

I've done 2.5x in Deadlift, 2x in Squat and just over 1x in Bench Press. I have fairly long arms for my height so benching is hard and deadlifting easy
