On a serious note , all of us at one time or another have not been able to open a bottle or capped item , whether its sweaty hands or a jammed seal.

I'm usually the person everyone gives the bottle / container to. Unless there are huge muscular hot rugby players around the BBQ (or Braai) in which case I'm just the weakest thing on the planet.

Anyhow, you need to just turn the bottle around and knock it on the chair back guard or something, usually works for my paint tubes as well - and those can get stuck real tight. Or sometimes you need to just tighten it before yanking back... Another possibility is that mister was gripping the thing so tight he might have been turning against worse friction because of his strength.
