I do believe that Bob Koherr makes a cameo appearance as the Tarlytons cigarette man and Terry Crews plays the president as he's the smartest man on Earth.

You guys know who Terry Crews is but Bob Koherr is better known behind the camera as he directs many television shows.

Imdb says the male newscaster was played by Derek Southers. Couldn't find many pics of him through Google. Oddly enough, one the best came up when I searched "Terry Crews Idiocracy."

Oh, and I didn't even get to argue that Idiocracy isn't stupid. It's damn goofy, but I have a horrible fear of such a world. I think it might be better to live in the 1984 dystopia than a place where anyone who's intelligent is a "fag."

Idiocracy may be designed to be funny, but the overall message is right on the money. Letting the morons breed uncontrollably is a fatal mistake for humanity.

Just take a look at the current crop of TV shows. When society glorifies stupidity, we've somehow gone over the edge of the abyss.

We should take our blinders off when looking at our neighbors and possibly ourselves and stop with all this selfish compassionism for the stupid by trying to save them from themselves, and actually encourage them to do really dangerous things before they reach breeding age.

I realize that weeding out stupidity would devastate the population total but is that really a bad thing in the long run?

However, I was mesmerized by the hulking President who, though a moron, was the least moronic and had potential. Kind'a broke the stereotype of dumb muscleman, if only in a twisted way. Now, if his physical genes could be infused into intelligent offspring the human race might become awesome!

I have never watched a "reality TV show" nor a fake reality show. I have long said that reality TV is to the modern society as was feeding prisoners to lions in the colosseum of ancient Rome. It is the harbinger of the impending societal collapse. Add to that the fact that entirely too few people can distinguish nonsense from reality, and the explosion of nonsense masquerading as knowledge on the Internet, and the future really does seem bleak.

America has always been that way. Distrust of "book learning" dates back to the pioneer days, and Andrew Jackson was practically a personification of it. Heck, football is a sport which recruits stupid people and then encourages them to do things which quite literally cause brain damage, and in more than half the states in the U.S., the highest-paid employee of any public institution is a football coach. (And in 10 more, it's a basketball coach.) We're always willing to let our schools lower academic standards to cut costs, but if a school sports team needs anything the wallets come out immediately. We also Constitutionally guarantee "freedom of religion", which has basically morphed into "freedom of ignorance", and value it so highly that we refuse to tax churches (which lowers property tax revenues by something like 3% of state government budgets every year). I agree Jeff. The classic book "The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire" is now been recast as the "Rise and Fall of the American Empire." We are living through the fall. The evidence is all around us, if we care to notice. Sad, but unfortunately true.

Wow. Such doom and gloom from people who hang out on a fetish website! I'm sure some have said the exact same things about people like us. Life isn't black and white, or all on and all off. We can be politically active and aware, and also take some time to shut the brain off and enjoy a little mindless entertainment from time to time.

Now, back to the subject. The news reader was quite hot, and that wasn't Bob Koherr. Bob goes to my gym and is a great, very friendly guy.
