Story Seed: The Cosplayer

Here's an idea that I'm working with. I figured that someone else could do the same.

Protagonist goes to comic convention and sees a massively muscular man doing the obligatory shirtless cosplay. Maybe he's doing Kratos from "God of War" or the Hulk. Anyway, the two meet and the smaller guy decides to work out to become a big, beefy cosplayer.

Goodness, that's a bit like my idea (only instead of it being a convention, it would be someone going to a high school reunion where the theme was fancy dress and everyone had to guess who the person was). Should I "run with that" as I believe Americans say?

That's my cup of tea... I am training right now, and hopefully one day I can go to convention cosplaying as Bane, Huge Kratos, and Punisher

OK, so the first time I saw "Heroes of Cosplay" I daydreamed about going to one of these things once I am up to my goal size and doing Hulk at the con, and entering as bane (same style as Jeep Swenson) in the competition. Once it comes time for the judging Yaya Han is just dying to know how I build such realistic muscle suits, and gushing about how they move and how good I am at playing up my heft and the like. I call her up to see for herself....

she starts to feel over my body, desperately searching for a seam-- and there is this fantastic gasp that echos over the speakers through the convention center,

"It's..... Real!"

"This is all... ...you!"

"Oh my... (stifled moan) ...God"

When I saw the title of this thread I imagined a scenario where a scrawny guy gets turned into a muscle stud by his costume.
