Growth "Problems"? I've been bulking up lately (with the help of my boyfriend, which I LOVE), and have put on 30 or so. My quads have passed 28", but they are starting to chafe something awful. It gets pretty painful sometimes, especially after leg day. Anyone have any tips on how to avoid it - underwear, powder, whatever. I already try to walk with a little wider stance, but I feel like I'm walking awkward. I LOVE the problem - don't get me wrong. I'm just sick of my legs chaffing this bad. Anyone else have any "problems" after they've bulked up? |

Reading about the "problems" associated with growth like yours is one of the hottest things, and what I enjoy most about this forum __________________ Hulkoutlvr |

Yes all the time. Ok my tips that I have learned over time now these may not all work for you but they work for me. 1. Underwear: You need either briefs, jock straps or anything without long leg holes. Most of my problems would come from boxer briefs which when sweaty or just for other reasons like to ride up and that can cause the painful chaffing. 2. You will have to work with a wider gait just get used to it now. I am cutting down now and my legs are 30 inches (were at 30.5 cold when at my highest) so you can only imagine pumped. Your hips will be sore for a bit but if you don't your legs will force you to. 3. You need to rub your inner thigh down with either lotion or olive oil really works but the smell can be interesting depending on the brand especially on days you know you will have to walk a lot, just precautionary (I do this everyday you never know) or when your legs are just being themselves. I really hope these help you out at least a bit. Most guys don't train their legs hard, nor have the genetics for them. So I can see where there isn't a lot of advice for this. I'm a guy who routinely has to pull his gym shorts out from between his thighs because they ride up or get stuck between them. You will learn to love it. *Underarmour is your friend now. |

Lotion or longer under wear |

i find boxer brief essential. if i wear briefs the chafing is awful. __________________ falseyedee ~i *still* write muscle fiction~ ______________ my new website: www.falseyedee.com my new ebook, a short story, is available at amazon.com. all my books are at at amazon.com as both paperbacks and kindle ebooks: http://astore.amazon.com/muscleficti...ail/1452858519 for nook users, all 3 of my short story collections are available as nook ebooks! my first 3 books are available as PDF files at gumroad.com. www.musclefiction.com www.falseyedee.com |

Boxer - Briefs Oddly enough, even though I have space between my thighs, I find that the box briefs are the way to go. The "tighty whiteys" are a bit TOO "tighty" these days, especially after I've done a lot of jogging or deadlifts or lunges. |

See I always feel that with the boxer briefs because I don't have any space till about half way down my thigh they seem to ride up the most with me the littlest room to move is what works best for me in the sense of with no "leggings" that is where I get the irritation. But then I don't know you guys leg size, hip structure, etc. which all play factors in what feels best for you. I just also notice a lot of pros don't wear boxer briefs for various reasons. I'm guessing mostly leg size but also because as they flare out they will push up something I'm experiencing now. |

For me lotion is the number 1 key to being friction free. Almost any lotion will do as long as it is unscented. Hypoallergenic is a plus. 2nd is the right kind of under wear. Make sure it is the right size. Don't get a smaller size just because you're vain about your waist size. Also try different brands and styles. They're all cut a little different. I bought some recently that just don't have room for my butt and that ends up pulling in other areas. I currently use boxers made out of the soft stretchy material usually found in briefs. It is the combination that works best for me. |
