"Lunk" Alarm.

Here's an idea that popped into my head. Skinny guy goes to a certain nameless gym that serves pizza and has a lunk alarm. His inner gym rat awakens and he goes through an elaborate workout/growth session, at the end of which he's setting off the alarms and pretty much decides he sould go elsewhere

Not a bad idea, but it's neither fiction nor fantasy....for most guys who want to grow, leaving that nameless gym with pizza and the lunk alarm is the first step in getting serious about training.

I'm thinking that for all those guys who've set an alarm to wake themselves up in the middle of the night so they could eat some food or drink a protein drink, that is a growing "lunk alarm".

If you think of a "lunk" as a big, muscular guy, that is! As in, I want to grow to "lunk" size!

The Lunk Alarm is an actual thing, guys. It's a trademark of Planet Fitness. That's why reborndragon suggested it - and it's a great idea

From Slate: "The facility also comes equipped with a "lunk alarm"—a siren that is supposed to go off whenever someone grunts too loudly or drops a heavy weight on the floor. (The latter is a moot point at most Planet Fitness locations, where they don't even have any large weights.)"

They feature it in their commercials, too. Yes, they also have Pizza Mondays.

I was hoping you of all people would latch onto it lol. Your writing would turn a Planet Fitness (I was trying to avoid the name but since it's been said ) upside down, lol.

Who, lil ol' me? It would fit right into my universe (sort of New York Fitness City-ish). I was thinking that the guy would start changing when he sets off the Lunk Alarm on someone else - neverending cycle of a dude changing, the alarm being set off by some pipsqueak, who then turns into another hulk who gets the lunk alarm set off on him, etc etc...
