Wendy the muscular whippet

Hi folks. There was a post under General (Myostatin Mutation) that mentioned this dog, but thought I'd post these links here as her story was recently in the media. Meet Wendy:

I wonder who the human was, and more importantly can they duplicate the effect on normal people?

Whoa...would love to see a man with that kind of "problem"...but its a shame she won't get to live out her full lifespan. She's a cute dog--although I would never want to make her mad.

Yep, but all the articles I found about him were from 2004, and he was five then. I wonder what he looks like now at about the age of....... eight? He would definatly be some one to watch.

no pics though. apparently the kid "grew into" his muscles and just looks kinda normal now. but I think someone mentioned there's another kid who has it now.

The local news also had coverage (sorry, I didn't record it), and her own says she's actually really shy. She's quite a sweetie.

I agree, it's a shame they're not optimistic about her lifespan. But who knows for sure; that may be speculation at this point. We'll have to wait and see.
