Touched

Eighteen

“No…” Simon cried as he held onto the lifeless hand. “No, no, no, no!”

Gloomily, Mr. Warden held his hand up and looked at his watch. “Time of death…11:32 PM.” Mrs. Warden broke into tears. Riley turned away to hide his face. Sophie buried her face into Howard’s shirt as he did his best to comfort her. Eve, sobbing the loudest, turned around and ran out of the hospital room with Boomer following. Simon…

Jamal slowing walked up to his friend. “Simon…I’m sorry, but he’s gone.” Jamal reached out to comfort him.

“No, he’s not gone!” Simon pulled away from Jamal’s outreached hand. “He’s right here, in front of us. He’s still here. He’s just…just sleeping. Yea, any moment he’s going to open his eyes and give us that silly smile of his!”

The eyes that Jamal gave Simon were those of pity. It was just so sad that he was unable to take anymore. He turned towards the Wardens, offered his condolences, and then left to go find Eve to keep her company.

Simon gazed on Logan’s peaceful face. Though he was so frail and pale skinned, he looked just so magnificently beautiful in this moment. The way his brilliant red hair outlined his thin face, how his lips had a ghost of a smile left on it. He just couldn’t believe it.

“Logan?” Simon gently placed his hand on his love’s frail shoulder and gave it a careful shake. “Logan? Logan, it’s me, Simon. Come on little guy, wake up. Open your eyes, please? Logan? Come on, you can’t be…be dead. You just can’t! Please, wake up!”

“Simon…” Howard started sympathetically.

“No!” Simon’s big body trembled, tears streaming down his face. “He’s not dead! He can’t be dead! I…I still need him! Come on Logan, please, wake up! Please! I can’t live without you Logan! Open your eyes, Logan! Wake up! Two months is too short! There’s too many things we haven’t done, too many things we haven’t talked about! I love you, so please, so don’t leave me alone!”

And with that Simon leapt forward and pressed his lips against Logan’s.

* * *

Logan lifted his head up. Quietly he stood, listening intently. He thought he had heard Simon’s voice, but that was impossible.

Simon was alive, while he had just died.

Shaking his head, Logan continued to walk forward, heading down the path. The path was made of a sort of smooth glass that held his weight. Around him along the path were the infinite numbers of the stars, lighting his way. Comets dances through the sea of space, planets were born and died and reformed again in moments. As he watched, he saw a nearby star, as yellow as the Earth’s sun, grew bigger into a red giant before it suddenly went into a supernova, exploding in a brilliant, beautiful flash of light.

Logan continued on towards the brilliant light waiting for him at the end. The light was warm, and comforting. There, he wouldn’t feel any more sorrows or sadness. There, he would have eternal peace.

Please, wake up!

There it was again. Logan stopped and listened intently. He was positive he had heard Simon that time. It seems like Simon was having trouble letting go of him after all.

“Oh Simon…” Logan sighed deeply.

I can’t live without you Logan!

“Please, don’t make it any harder then it already is…” Logan closed his eyes. It was too late now. He had already died, and was moving on. There was no way he could go back, and even if he somehow lived again, the incomplete Fel Neros would just pull him back right away.

There’s too many things we haven’t done, too many things we haven’t talked about! I love you, so please, so don’t leave me alone!

Don’t leave me alone…Logan took those words to heart. He knew from experience how lonely being separated from your love was. Looking towards the light at the end of the path, Logan wondered if it could replace the feeling he had whenever he held Simon’s strong hand.

Quickly he shook his head. He had been content. Logan had felt that his life had been completed, and that he had lived it to the fullest. He didn’t have any personal regrets, any lingering emotions. He had his share of happiness.

But, did Simon get his?

Biting his lip, Logan closed his eyes and searched his soul. Ahead was death, and eternal peace, with no trouble or worries. Behind him was life, filled with pain and cruelty, but also of love and great happiness.

And Simon was there waiting, calling for him to come back.

Even if it was impossible, he just had to try. Turning around, Logan sprinted back down the path towards life. The stars flashed brightly and lights dances everywhere. A nebula, the remains of the sun that had gone nova, swirled and condensed until it was reborn into a new, baby star. As he neared the beginning of the path once again, Logan could feel the joys of new life and birth flow through him right before he plunged headfirst back into the world of the living.

* * *

It was a sad sight, to watch as Simon tried to deny Logan’s death and try to wake him up. As Riley watched, Simon kissed Logan’s dead lips, trying to breathe some life back into his brother’s corpse. It was just too much to take. He began to leave the room to mourn somewhere in private, away from this sad scene.

A beep from the heart monitor made him stop. Snapping his head, he stared at the monitor, but it had once again returned to being a flatline. Stupid machine glitch he thought, cursing it for getting his hopes up so fast so suddenly. No one could come back from the dead. No one.

Riley began to leave again when the monitor beeped again. Riley stopped. It beeped. It beeped again. He looked at his parents, Howard and Sophie, who looked just as bewildered as he was.

And then, time stopped.

Simon kept his lips against Logan’s waiting, hoping for a response. Even though Logan had just passed on, those lips were already cold and lifeless. Desperate, he tried harder to wake his true love up. He reached out with all of his mind, heart and being towards the little body of his soul mate, trying to ignite Logan’s flame of life once more.

And then it happened. Simon felt something going on around him, as if every particle of the universe were revolving around him. Time seemed to become non existent as a single moment was frozen for five beats of the heart, and the earth underneath his feet moved just a fraction of an inch off its axis.

Logan’s hand twitched.

Time resumed its course, but Simon didn’t stop. He poured more of himself into Logan, feeding the undernourished body with his own pure energy. He focused his entire existence into Logan; calling, crying, begging him to return.

And then, Logan kissed back.

The world around them seemed nonexistent as Simon thought nothing more than his lover’s kiss. At first it was so weak and confused, but as the seconds ticked by it became stronger, more sure of it self, more alive. Warmth returned to Logan’s body as the soul came back to its proper vessel. Simon could feel Logan reach up and wrapped around Simon’s neck, pulling the big stud closer for a deeper kiss. They reveled in it, making it last as long as it could, neither willing to break it.

Finally, Simon had to end it first. He had to see. Slowly, he pulled back and looked down. “Logan?”

The eyelids fluttered open, and green eyes gazed lovingly into his. “Hey.” His voice creaked as if he hadn’t used it in a long time. “Did you miss me?”

“Logan!” Simon threw himself onto the little guy and hugged him tightly. “Logan! Logan! Logan!”

“Wha…what just happened?” Riley looked at them, his eyes as round as silver dollars.

“I think we just witnessed a miracle.” Sophie said softly as she watched Simon cry with joy all over Logan.

* * *

Simon walked briskly down the hospital hallways, carrying balloons and a big gigantic teddy bear the same size as Eve in his arms. For the past twelve days he had been showering Logan with gifts and non stop pampering.

“Honey, I’m here!” Simon announced as he opened the door and entered.

Logan was sitting on the edge of the bed shirtless as his dad pressed the stethoscope against his chest.

“You’re right on time.” Logan grinned up at him. “Dad was just giving me a last minute check-up before

Simon smiled back as he set the big teddy bear and the balloons aside and watched patiently. Logan was now looking more like a healthy normal person. His skin had gained some color and he had filled out with rather nicely. The dreadful scars that had previously dominated his arms had completely vanished, leaving behind nothing but smooth soft skin. Even the acne had cleared up, revealing Logan’s full beautiful face for the first time in years.

And he was so damn sexy.

After Mr. Warden finished, he nodded in approval as he wrote in his folder. “You’ve gained 4 pounds of lean muscle mass since yesterday.” He announced. “You’ve also gained an inch compared to last week’s measurements. If I wasn’t seeing it with my own eyes, I would have said it was medical miracle.”

“For a Kyn Lor’de, miracles are nothing.” Logan beamed up at Simon. Simon felt his pride swell up.

Indeed, as if to make up for lost time Logan had been undergoing a sped up growth. Not only did Logan become stronger, but his muscles were growing and his height was steadily climbing. In just a few days, Logan had reached his old size. Better even, because now he was stronger, healthier and fit. And none of them knew when it was going to stop. Either way, Simon became hard whenever he lay down to sleep every night, knowing his lover will only be even sexier then the day before.

Harold chuckled as he shook his head. “Still, it was quite something you two pulled off. Your Kin-Lam’s ability to connect with others was transferred over to Simon, something that was supposed to be impossible. Then, Simon breathed life back into your body. After being reborn, you were given a fresh start once again, regaining your Kin-Lam powers and abilities. As luck would have it, the first person either of you touched when you regained your powers was each other, making each other true Auror Dians. As if that wasn’t enough, the effect of Logan’s rebirth caused a world wide effect, changing every person on the planet, both human and Kin-Lam to allow a Kin-Lam to disengage and redo their Fel Neros at will and allow interracial pairings to exist without the negative side effects. Nothing like this has ever happened in our history, not even with previous Kyn Lor’de. Truly, Simon is one special individual.”

“You’re forgetting that I’m not the only Kyn Lor’de.” Simon corrected him as he reached out and held Logan’s hand. “Your son is also a very special person.”

“That he is.” Mr. Warden chuckled. “Now, I’m going to go finish the release papers and then I’ll take us all home. Everyone’s waiting for us, and your mother has been up since morning cooking all of your favorites.”

“Thanks Dad.” Logan said as he watched his father leave. “Hey Simon, can you hand me my shirt over there?” He pointed towards where his shirt was draped over a chair.

Instead of doing as he was told, Simon reached out and caressed Logan’s naked torso, feeling the small, hard muscles lying underneath the delicate skin. “I think you look hotter without the shirt.” He growled seductively, tracing his finger down the developing pectorals and ripped abs.

A soft blush crept onto Logan’s face. “Please, my Dad could be back any minute. As okay as he is with all of this, no parent can be completely comfortable seeing their kid making out with someone in front of them. We have all the time in the world to play.”

Simon laughed. “Alright, but later tonight, I am going to see you without a shirt or pants on.”

“I can hardly wait.” Logan grinned broadly.

* * *

That night, after hours of hot sweat filled sex, Logan finally gave into exhaustion and laid back onto his new king sized bed, completely wiped out.

“Man…I never knew sex could be so intense.” He said as he breathed heavily; sweat glistening off his tight body, making him radiant. “I don’t know if I’ll ever catch up to your stamina.”

“Don’t worry; I know you will grow into it eventually.” Simon said as he settled down next to him, his glorious naked body shining in the pale moonlight. “But until then, I’m okay with slowing down just a bit for you. It’ll give me more time to admire your cute face.”

Logan gave a soft tired laugh as he reached up and pressed his hand against Simon’s smooth cheek. “I love you Simon.”

“I love you too, Logan.” Simon replied.

They kissed each other until they both fell asleep in each others arms, holding them close together, never to let the other go ever again.

Epilogue

Epilogue
2 years later...

Simon tugged at his collar. He never had really gotten used to formal wear. Even though his suit had been tailored to fit his unique measurements, it still felt weird. True, he loved to wear tight clothing to show off his body, but this was downright uncomfortable.

He looked around at the other guests in the Warden?s backyard as they arrived. Most of them Simon had never met before, or had seen but never really talked to. However, there were several that he could recognize. He spotted Riley with his boyfriend/partner Troy chatting with each other near the buffet line. Both of them attended the same college and played on the same team, protecting the other both on the field and off.

Sitting over in a few chairs over were Sophie and Howard, holding each other?s hands while they wait. Sophie was wearing a splendid lavender gown, while Howard looked dashing in his crisp blue dress shirt and gold tie. The two of them made such a cute couple. They were both planning to get a degree in psychology and become counselors in order to help troubled teenagers. With their powers, they could probably accomplish a lot.

He spotted Jamal come and take his seat by himself. He and his partner had decided to see other people to find out if there was someone else for them. Jamal tried both Kin-Lam and normal humans, searching for his soul mate. Currently, he was dating a cute normal girl from school, which explains why he came without a date.

?Hey sweetie.? A deep voice rumbled behind him. ?I got you your drink.?

Simon turned around and smiled. Standing behind him was a tall, handsome hulk of a man. He stood just a few hairs under Simon?s own 7?6? height, but looked to have over 20 to 30 pounds of muscle over him (though in truth, he weighed 150 more pounds heavier.) His suit, which was obviously custom made, hugged his body and looked incredible on him, making him look suave, dignified and very handsome. Even through the dark material, Simon could see the sheer size of the guy?s muscles.

Not only was this man huge, he was drop dead gorgeous as well. Smooth red hair flowed like silk around his masculine face. His skin was perfectly flawless, with no signs of scarring or blemish. Each of his teeth was perfectly white and straight, making his smile capable of lighting even the dimmest room. And, most importantly, his eyes gleamed like two emeralds, laced with a gentle kindness and love.

?Thanks Logan.? Simon said as he accepted the paper cup that the big guy was offering.

Logan smiled as he nimbly jumped over the row of chairs and seated himself next to Simon. Not even a strand of hair had been disheveled or jarred out of place. He was so perfect. He had been valedictorian of their class, star player of the varsity football team and president of the student council. The two of them both got football scholarships and were going to the same college next fall. Today, they were here to celebrate a very special event.

?Nervous?? Simon asked him.

?A little.? Logan admitted.

?Hey, it?s not your Tyr ?d lei this time.? Simon placed his arm around Logan and grinned. ?So just relax.?

Logan smiled his thanks. The two of them watched as everyone took their seats and the ceremony began.

First, soft music played. Then, the two young children appeared and began to walk down the aisle.

Eve, dressed in a beautiful little white gown, walked with grace and a smile. The boy who walked next to her was wearing his ceremonial outfit, but looked like he would rather be somewhere else right then. The two of them reached the flower archway, where the Kin-Lam Vuran Elder awaited to give the sermon.

All of a sudden there was the sound of barking. Everyone turned around as they saw a gold streak of fur appear, racing towards the young pair.

?Boomer!? Eve cried out happily.

The dog gave one big leap and jumped right into Eve, knocking her down and licking her face. A murmur swept the audience as Eve giggled and laughed as Boomer continued to give her wet doggie kisses.

Simon laughed. ?Somehow, I knew this was going to happen.?

Logan looked over at Simon. ?Well, I don?t know what to say except that those two will make a very unique couple.?

?Well, the both of us were also unique, and we came out alright.? Simon pointed out.

?That we did.? Logan winked.

And so it ends.

A life ends as a year draws to a close
And a life is reborn as a year begins anew.

Originally, 17 and 18 were to be one chapter, but I decided to divide it up. I think it provided more impact to the story, don't you agree? Plus I am a sucker for happy endings.

It was a great pleasure to write this series. There were many trials along the way, but somehow I managed to make it through, and I hope that I did a good enough job to express the tale of these two lovers. And now, I am proud to say that this little tale is complete.

Lots of love
And good luck in the new year

redkage,

Thank you for the way you wrapped this up. I agree with those that say it is one of the best written of all the storys on this or any other board. To say, I enjoyed it, does not do what I feel justice. There just are not words. I guess you could say I was touched. ;-)

Your hard work and attention to detail, are greatly appreciated.

You bastard Here I am, crying my eyes out at the end of chapter 17, and just wishing for an epilogue. And then you go and put out chapter 18 and an epilogue. (You might want to change this chapter number to "eighteen" since you did split this chapter into two chapters".)

So now there's the smile behind the tears. At least you didn't hold back and make us wait for weeks for this conclusion.

Many thanks for a great story, and best wishes with all your stories.

Redkage, you had better publish this 'beyond-all-mortal-comprehension' of a story, or else!

You're still an asshole for making us all cry like that, then as our eyes were still red, you do what you did anyways!

You Snookered Us, Red!!

Yes, you did--but in the very best possible way!! Magicians refer to this technique as "misdirection". Up to now, the best examples of this kind of writing that I knew of were the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (creator of Sherlock Holmes) and Walter B. Gibson (creator of "The Shadow"). Your writing, my friend, is easily every bit as good as theirs, and in some ways actually surpasses them! I don't know who taught you to write like this, but they have every right to feel very, very proud of you! You left us sighing and grieving at the end of chapter 17--and then gave us a happy ending that leaves us shaking our heads in wonder! Well done, Red--VERY well done!

Wow! It was practically a SHOCK to read the last chapter and the epilogue after getting through Logan's death scene in tears this morning! Speaking of a SURPRISE!

What a fitting ending for Logan, a character who had suffered practically through the entire story. He was truly my favorite in the whole story, and it was great to see him come back and get what he deserved.

Like I said this morning, thank you, Redkage, for writing, and posting this story on the forum for us. I have saved and kept every chapter of this story. As an author, I want to commend you for producing such an entertaining piece of work and I hope you'll be inspired to write more in 2008.

OMFG!!! OH YES!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I knew it! I knew he was going to live (Although I cried in chapter 17)
I never lost hope. Everyone accepting his death... No way! Love can win against anything! So romantic! And I love that Logan finally had his growth spurt.
Thank you for life, Red.

I just wanted to congratulate you on this fantastic story, Redkage, and also thank you for sharing it with us. This is the kind of story that is truly worthy of publication. It goes beyond the level of erotica, becoming a story that rides the entire emotional spectrum, from lust, to sadness, to anger, to happiness, and everything in between. You could very easily have ended it with Chapter 17, had you wanted to give us the tragedy the story seemed to be leading up to, but you chose to give us the happy ending, which was satisfying in and of itself.

Please keep writing. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

I just finished reading the three final installments, and I wish I could say something different than all the guys, but it's just impossible! This story had been wonderful. For all the times i got sad because of Logan's curse, for all those times we got mad at Simon, for all the times we thought things would finally, we can only thank you redkage!

The best part about this ending is that it really made full sense to the world you have created, it truly connected to the earlier aspects of the Kin Lam society, but also opened a whole new horizon for them. The physical transformation on Logan was just outstanding and finally brought a little justice over his life, a boy who always placed everybody else ahead of himself truly deserved to become such a massive muscle god.

Touched completed its circle and I am really happy with it, mostly because it helped you to grow as a writer, against all criticism and comments, you kept your original concept and I can see now it was truly the best option.

I wish you all best in your next projects... but for now, just sit back and relax bussy, you've done a great job here!

Cheers

Where?s the angst? Where?s the misery? Where?s the gut wrenching tragedy? Decided to go for the happy ending, hunh?

Ok, that works too.

Congratulations on the conclusion (It is the conclusion? Right?) of another fantastic tale. I look forward with great anticipation to whatever you do next.

More "Second Puberty" ?

Maybe Logan and Simon can meet "Jason" and Joe in Second Puberty Episode II.

LOL!!

I was trying to figure out how you could possibly pull them back together after Logan died, and you did a great job! Thanks.

What an awesome way to begin the new year. I know it's hard getting these massive stories wrapped up but you did it magnificently (and romantically) I thoroughly enjoyed the whole roller coaster ride and the writing was marvelous. Truly one of the best on this forum!!

I just want to add my accolades as well. Completely hot story. Very well written. Had me choked up before work. Didn't get to the "resurrection" until after. What torture to think Logan had died all day, but what true joy to come home and finish the story!

I'd love to read a chapter on Logan's life after his re-life--a chapter between chapter 18 and the epilogue: how he goes on to conquer the world, as it were; how his classmates (especially his former bullies) treat him upon his return; how he triumphs on the football field (is Simon still the quarterback or did Logan replace him); how the world deals, especially the Kin-Lam, with another Kyn Lor?de.

Just wishful thinking. Thanks again for a great story.

Given the fact that Logan, when he was being brutally beaten after that football game, clearly was more worried about what his tormentors were unwittingly doing to themselves than about what they were doing to him, and given the fact that after they left him, he cut himself to protect them, I doubt Logan would retaliate against anyone for what had been done to him. And given that Riley and Simon have already laid down the law to anyone who might be tempted to do any bullying in the future, it is unlikely that Logan would be obliged to step in on behalf of any new bullying victims. Though I've no doubt that he would if the circumstances called for it. And I've no doubt that Logan would use the minimum force needed to get the job done. Given that Logan is more muscled up now even than Simon, I seriously doubt anyone would be stupid enough to try anything like bullying at their high school.

Whatever Logan choses to do with his new lease on life, I imagine it would involve helping others, both Kin-Lam and human. And with Simon, his brother and sister and all their friends, both human and Kin-Lam, I think there would indeed be material for a whole new series. How `bout it, Red? After a little hiatus? Eh?

Here's hoping, eh Sierraca?

Let's give Redkage a break... It took him 7 months to write Touched. It usually takes that long to write a story of a caliber like this one.

Your hard work and attention to detail, are greatly appreciated.
lol, I don't know if I can honestly say I deserve what you're saying. I still have a long way to go to improve on myself before I can say my works are more literately passable. I still have waaay too many grammar problems.

I doubt that I'll publish this. I think it's fine where it is for now, and if you want to read it again, you can always use the links to past installments or head over to O'mellisokomo's site where he is currently archiving it. (btw, thanks a bunch for that O!)

Well done, Red--VERY well done!
lol, I don't think either one of those authors would have approved of an erotica, but I can't help but feel a bit evil for pulling that fast one on everyone, hehehe...

Thank you for life, Red.
yup, you got a sith sense for this kinda thing. Plus, I'm a sucker for happy endings

You could very easily have ended it with Chapter 17, had you wanted to give us the tragedy the story seemed to be leading up to, but you chose to give us the happy ending, which was satisfying in and of itself.

Please keep writing. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
A good story always takes the reader through all sorts of different emotions. I was just doing my best to do that very same method to make it more enjoyable for everyone.

Cheers
it's hard to sit back and relax when you have some other projects just screaming to be done. But, i think I'll take a slight break from the keyboard, yes. YOu can only stare at a computer monitor for so long before you start to want to bang your head on the desk

Actually, at the very outset of the story I was torn between making the ending happy or tragic. Eventually, my inner romantic won, and I firmly went for the happy ending...though, I DID feed some of the sadness into the main story line and the climax in chapter 17. All in all, I think it pretty much evened itself out, don't you agree?

a crossover? might be fun, but I think I'll have to pass. Second Puberty is set in a normal type environment with some advanced science, while Touched is set in a modern world overlain with mysticism. Though both are pretty good, I'd say they'll mix like oil and water.

A collab for a totally new work, however, is completely plausible.

Rule number 8: Keep the reader in suspense. (P.S. Don't ask what the other rules are, I just made it all up on the fly)

Tell me about it. There were many times when I groaned when I discovered that I had to add yet ANOTHER chapter's worth before I could end the story (Initially, I was aiming for 12 chapters total.) But now I am finally able to set this story to rest and start this year with an (almost) clean slate.

It's a little thing I call "strategy." Why do you think I waited hours after I posted chapter 17 before I posted the ending? (oh yea, badness level definetely rising, mwahahaha!)

well, I left that part a little hazy so people could imagine their own versions of what happened based on what they know about the characters. I don't think I'll be writing any more chapters for Touched, since it already seems perfectly fine just the way it is. And, another Touched series? I have to admit that the thought has crossed my mind once or twice, but not enough for me to really pursue it. Check back with me in a few months.

I could've taken it! I swear. I was all prepared for the ending in the previous chapter. Unfortunately my computer brought up a sad tune while reading the end, which didn't help much.

When I saw you had an epilogue, I thought: this story doesn't need that!

And... maybe I still think so. As nice as happy endings are (and as much as the guy deserved some good to come his way). Oh well. This did go against what the previous chapters had been building up to, which does create a surprise effect. And some sexy images. Mmm.

Thanks for the story. You're definitely a great story teller. As a writer, you could improve here and there, but that's a matter of experience. One can be an excellent writer and still bore people to tears with a silly plot. And good writing can be learnt, for a large part. Good story telling requires talent, and you have that.

Roller coaster ride

What a roller-coaster ride that was. Somehow I had missed this series and spent the last few days catching up. All the elements of great writing are here. I needed at least a half-box of Kleenex to get through the last two chapters. And, I too am a sucker for a happy ending. What a thrill-ride this was. Keep up the great writing.

It's times like these I'm glad I've only discovered this forum recently - if I had to wait to read the whole thing, I would've been very frustrated! After starting to read it this afternoon, I've spent my whole night reading and finishing it, which is saying something since I'm not a big reader!

I was thinking that a happy ending wouldn't fit the tone of the rest of the story (even though I wanted it), and I could've lived with the end of Chapter 17, but I'm glad for the extra chapter anyway.

The story about how love triumphs all odds is fantastic, and a total mystery since I haven't had the chance to feel like that about someone, and have them feel like that about me.
As much as I love my happy endings, that's the real message here, and one that has been so masterfully told.

Thanks again Redkage, you deserve more than just praise for your brilliant writing - I would've happily paid to read that story!

I'll second the above! I've literally just finished reading this story from Ch. 1 to 18 in about 7 hours straight - my butt hurts a bit from sitting down that long, my face is soaking wet, and I'm confident in the knowledge that I've stumbled across one of those rare gems
This is honestly one of my favourite stories now - to hell with the grammar! the ability to emotionally effect your readers like that outweighs that in spades in my opinion
Though I've come to it a bit late, thank you so much for this completely and utterly fantastic story - can't put it into words properly
