New Muscle Growth Blog

http://musclegrowthlovinfemme.blogspot.com/

The blog will have an "Artist Roundup" that features beefcake/muscle growth art online, reviews of muscle growth stories, as well as shameless self-promotion for my own muscle growth and erotic fiction.

It's in a primitive state right now, but I mean to gussy up the layout very soon. Right now I'm just emphasizing on content. Feel free to comment and converse!

You go, grrl!

You may be tapping into, giving voice and speaking for an as-yet-unmined subculture. Who knows? In two years you may be negotiating a buyout with Rupert Murdoch.

Thanks. Wow, never thought of it that way...starting my own internet subculture. There was a hilarious SomethingAwful.com piece about the creation of an internet subculture, and that the primary condition of a founder has to be that they're totally insane.

In all fairness, women that really like gay/bi men and write internet fiction to that effect ain't exactly new ground I just broke. I just added the beefcake muscle stud angle to it, though.

Coming from an artist as talented as yourself, Chocomus, that's no small compliment. I'm glad I was able to feature your art on the Artist Roundup.

Incidentally, artists...please send me a PM, show me your art, and I'll review you on Artist Roundup. Be warned though, I am a fair and honest reviewer.

Ditto for story writers: I'll review your stuff (I just did one for Sk8r Dreams last Saturday).

And yeah, Ulisses Jr. is a spectacularly sexy man.

That's what I'm here for! Thank you for the kind words.

I would say, a ballpark estimate here, that there are at least 10 - 20 women that are regulars on this site and don't announce themselves.

I love black man muscle. Hell, sometimes it seems like I enjoy blacks more than my own race. A good friend of mine (who's black) once told me, "You're a black man's white boy." In other words, I can do something like this, and get away with it:

*dresses up as James Brown*

...Say it loud.
...Say it loud!
...Say it LOUD!
SAY IT LOUD!!
(in case you don't get the joke: )

*ahem*...But I'm getting a bit off topic.

It is really too bad about the other women on this site, who don't say much of anything, rather unfortunate.

I agree that it is unfortunate that too few women speak up about their interest in muscle growth and muscular men in general. But, as has been mentioned in other similar discussions in this forum, many of us are taught that these desires and attractions are impossible, or gross. I've seen photos of men with maps of veins all over their bodies. I'd love to trace each one with my tongue. My friends would find the entire idea repulsive.

This is also a male-oriented forum, and female members are cautious about intruding in this male community. Not out of nerves, but more out of respect.
Enough preaching for the moment...I'm off to read some muscle!

Esperanto,

I love your blog...being a straight bodybuilder and reading about a woman's view on muscular men, bodybuilders and the fantasy side of muscle is really something that I think women in general should open up about.

Like you I was fascinated with the imagery of 80's cartoons and tv shows...as well as the early bodybuilding shows that were on network tv because of Arnold, Lou Ferrignou, et al. Bodybuilding in the late 70's and early 80's seemed to be more common and acceptable that it does now. ESPN dropped bodybuilding shows in favor of the likes of *cringes* NASCAR and Golf.

As I grew up having many different inspirations as a kid I've been in various levels of physical development. In my late teens and early 20's I often played on the fact that younger women love a man with muscles and I admit to being young, dumb and almost completely superficial about women, sex and using my muscles to get women.

Fast forward a decade or so, approaching my middle 30's *cringes*, in the best shape of my life and more respectful of myself and women. Looking back on my experiences with women, I've realized that many women don't realize or admit to themselves that they have a strong desire/attraction for muscular men.

I've come to this realization in talking with my female co-workers at lunch time that because of my presence in the office that they have a better appreciation for bodybuilders. I've even been asked by some for a workout routine that they could give to their boyfriends or husbands to help them get in better shape. I think that part of this is that because there's about 40 of us in our office and we all interact at some level in the office as well as having frequent company events where everyone let's their hair down that the women in my office feel very comfortable and at times more open than they should be around me, that most of them have admitted in some way that they have had a desire to be with a large muscular man. Some of even admitted to watching He-Man more than She-Ra or going through the bodybuilding magazines at the book store just so that they can have some "inspiration".

I've also found this to be true outside of work. On the odd occasion I am at a club with friends in an environment where inhibitions are out the door (due to alcohol) I've found that women will notice my physical attributes more than other men.

I will admit that I have had my share of sexual experiences with women because I have recognized some level of desire, attraction or lust in them for a muscular man and flexing certain muscles to help achieve my goal. However now that I'm older wiser and looking for better things. There's a flip side to the coin. Being human as we are...we are very visual creatures...almost everything we do is based on what we see. Unfortunately the media is a horrible source for getting accurate visuals and background on what is depicted.

Case in point The man's arms who exploded on TLC/Discovery Channel. (aka Gregg Valetino)

That show is a pseudo docu-drama about steroids. It's basically for kids and people thinking about or starting to use steroids to get them to think twice. While I think it does a gret job of trying to scare people into not using them. It's loaded with a ton of misinformation. The main point being that Gregg Valentino got so big was because of steroids. Or rather that just his biceps got so big was because of steroids. They do mention his use of synthol to make his biceps bigger. But they don't really mention that synthol doesn't build the muscle, it's just used to inflate them like a balloon to make them look bigger. He didn't become bigger, stronger or faster. I don't condone the use of synthol or steroids purely for physical gain. But hell at least get the facts right.

Because of crap like that I think women in general would rather stereotype and judge men that are very muscular rather than start an intelligent conversation with them like they do other men. This has been admitted to me by several women, all because of what they hear from the media and from here say. My female co-workers have a much different view of bodybuilding in general because of the discussions I've had with them and they are thankful for it. Some of them have even joined a gym and have turned around their physical health simply because I told them that picking up a weight won't make them overly muscular or that sweating too much is bad.

As for the fantasy side of muscle, muscle growth, etc. I think this too should be more open and accepted as a form of culture/sub-culture. Along with it's associations of Giant/Giantess-ism, furry muscle, transformation, etc. Like most sub-cultures, including bodybuilding to some degree, they start out as little known or underground type things. I also think that many people don't realize or accept that many of the comic books out there are little more than many of our fantasies in "black and white". Of course a bit more on the PG rated side of things HEHE.

I think it's great that you are getting your thoughts and ideas out in the open about muscle men, bodybuilders, muscle growth and sex with muscle men, bodybuilders and super human men !

More women should open up about their desires

Droz

Thank you for reading! Also, thank you for sharing your experiences.

I hope the blog is interesting for reasons apart from the novelty of fag-haggery, of course.

If there?s got to be one person to personify the female point of view, I feel very, very sorry for women that it?s to be me! It reminds me of how nutjob anti-Semite Bobby Fischer represented ?us? in the Chess battles against the Russians. (My favorite part was how he refused to play with chess pieces with green felt bottoms because people can control your mind through the color green.)

For one thing, I?m turned on by things even my friends (guy and girl alike) think are weird. I have a very masculine sexuality: I?m very visual about it, and in the words of Faye Dunaway from NETWORK, "I arouse quickly, come rapidly, and can?t wait to leave and get my clothes back on and get the hell out of there."

Yeah, there's been something of a paradigm shift when it comes to muscle in the media. In the past, heroes had muscles even when there wasn't a logical "in character" reason for them to have that kind of physique; it's just the kind of body a hero or villain had.

I doubt they actually literally exploded, but that's a Looney Tunes style visual, isn't it?

I can only speculate from personal experience, but it is true that big men are very intimidating. Lots of women avoid them for that reason.

I guess the image of a big guy, with a square jaw and lots of testosterone, attracts two different types of women for different reasons: the first are doormat girls that need a father figure and like to be told what to do; the second are women with a lot of backbone that can tame men who are physically and mentally dominating, and focus more on the physical act of sex.

I thought size and strength is what they were attracted to?

I figured my "skinny as a rail" frame is what women avoid?

Two extremes, surely? And I'm sure the former would love to hear they're being described as doormats...

Oh, no, certainly not! Many women I know happily prefer the slim, geeky type. As far as physical types are concerned, I'd say "tous les go?ts sont dans la nature", that is, everyone has his or her own preference.

Dearest Abbraxis- I personally love muscle, but every single serious relationship I have ever been in has been with a skinny dorky guy. Don't lose hope!
