Living in a College Town

Not being officially connected to the university, there are many times that I overlook the fact that I live in a college town. There are some great benefits of this though: cultural events, sporting events, and even things as basic as educated, happy employees in service-sector jobs.

One of the greatest perks though is all of the young muscle around. As with most gyms, mine has its peak hours in the 5pm-7pm timeframe. For a variety of reasons, I usually don't workout then. For the early morning timeframe, the number of muscleguys is somewhat limited.

This morning, I was stunned to see a real adonis working out when I arrived. I would guess he was 20 years old. He was about 5'11" probably 185 pounds. He had jet short, jet black hair and was wearing a white t-shirt with the sleeves cut off. His arms were stoked. Excellent size but very lean. The splits in his bicep and the meat of his tricep were great---and he wasn't even working them!

He must have done 25+ sets for his chest. It was obviously his pecs were swelling nicely under his cut-off t-shirt. Towards the end of the workout, I even caught him massaging them. I did make small-talk with him for a minute (but he had ear phones on so I didn't want to harrass him). Anyhow, it was a great start to the day.

Anybody else either live in a college town or have stories from when they were in college?

I live in a college town also. Two colleges and I have to agree with you 1bigwoof.. it's really nice when classes are in session.

not only do i live in a college town, but i manage a restaurant a block from campus. summertime is great

I live in a college town... but honestly, the muscle flesh doesn't compare to:

A) the traffic issues of check in/check out and daily "going ons" on campus

B) the anger I have toward kids who think they can cross the street quickly... or totally forget to look before bounding on to the road

C) crowded bars

D) drunk idiots


Sorry. Maybe I just don't get as many sightings (I litorally live next to the campus, so this would surprise me), but I'd rather have my peaceful town

Sorry you have bad experiences abbraxis.. I workout at one of the college gyms and I'm friends with a lot of the guys that lift there. I seem to have a personality that attracts people. There is always an abundance of eye candy (football players, basketball, baseball and even the track guys). A few I've become very good friends with and hang out with them. But I never make a move on any of them, I just admire them. There is this one guy that will be a junior this year.. he's massive. I'm 6'2" and he is at least 3" taller than me and easily 250# or more. 19"+ arms and they are thick as hell. Super nice guy, and funny too.

when i was in college i managed a gym and we had half a dozen regulars who were always taking their shirts off while working out (and let me tell you, we were glad they did) the best were those first few sunny warm days, - the shirts flew off!

In my new job I have an excellent view of the outdoor breezeway that cuts through our library, the largest on campus. There's a fairly constant stream of traffic, especially this time of year, and there's a usually a nice selection of eye candy.

The only downside:

It's also where people in the surrounding buildings go to smoke. There are few things more distressing than a hot guy lounging in the breezeway having a ciggie. Bleah!
