Last I heard, was that as he got older he was pretty normal in size and strength. At least I believe that's what I heard.

Would be interesting to see what he might be when puberty hits him.

There was also a mystatin-related case more recently I think in Michigan. I'll have to look back for the article. Depending on the nature of the condition and the medical steps taken, the parents and doctors' first concern will probably be to give these children the best opportunity for a normal life as opposed to capitalize on their uniqueness or turn them into human science experiments. It did certainly trigger a thought process in my mind though that has been rattling around as a possible story idea, that is if someone did actually take the opportunity to train up such a youth to reach previously-unobtainable goals!

Well, look at what happened to Richard Sandrak...

I thought that was steroids, not a lack of myostatin.

Sandrak to my knowledge wasn't a medical condition at all and the nature of his training and intake program seemed dubious but I don't think it was ever investigated to determine if there was a steroid or abuse situation involved. Last I knew his father (the catalyst for his development) went to prison on family violence charges and little Richard Sandrak is trying to have a relatively normal childhood, laxing up on the totally ripped pre-teen celebrity status in favor of a shot at becoming a child actor. I haven't heard much on him in the last few years, so this may all be old news anyways.

I mentioned Sandrak cause of this:

Of course... his dad didn't turn him into a science experiment... just a cash cow. Still morally reprehensable, though.
