Smooth Muscles

I really dig the smooth look for myself. I'm not naturally that hairy, but I keep my chest closely trimmed and I fully shave my legs and armpits every other day.

I love the look and feel of it. It makes you appear bigger and more defined. And I'm convinced that sliding into bed with a freshly shaved set of muscular legs is one of the best feelings on earth! I try to keep my hands and feet as soft and callus-free as possible too.

I do, however, keep things natural and a bit hairy "down there."

From what I gather, most guys here prefer the furrier side of things. Any other "smooth operators" here? How do you lose the hair?

The smooth look has my vote. No offense to anyone, as we are all entitled to our opinions, but body hair disgusts me. I don't understand having a nice body and hiding it under a carpet. For that matter, I also don't understand having a nice body, and painting over it, in other words, tatoos. Tatoos are an instant turn off for me, no matter how nice the body they are on.

i do have to say i prefer hairy. thick chest hair is just so masculine, and really compliments a muscular chest in the most beautiful way

that being said, smooth muscles are fine, but hairy is hotter

I prefer smooth, but alas am not naturally so. As such, I shave with a normal razor.

I love the smooth look too. I tried shaving for a while but it seemed like a lot of effort so now I just keep it short with clippers. If someone could invent a pill that makes all your body hair fall out I'd be over the moon.

Sigh. This is a point of contention at home. I am naturally hairy. I don't like it: i prefer smooth and had taken to removing most of it (including arms and legs) with a Norelco Bodygroom. Great little electric shaver, that. But my partner prefers hairy and was devastated that I got rid of it. He said it was like holding a plucked chicken. So I've let it grow back. But I hate it.

Same situation here. Partner hated it in the beginning of our relationship.

Just tell them that it's really important to you, and they should consider it one of those "crazy things you do, but they love you in spite of it." Keep it up, and eventually they'll get used to it. And probably grow to like it!

Digger, I can sympathize with your situation. I am also naturally hairy, and the word HATE is not strong enough to describe my feelings about it. After years of wishing I didn't have it, I finally bit the bullet, and am going through laser removal treatments. Now I am single, so I didn't need anyone's blessing to do this, although a close gay friend who, I frequently confide in, has ridiculed what I am doing. My response has been that its not his body, not his money, and not his choice. I figure if I finally meet someone special down the road, this is the way I am, and they can take it or leave it. If your partner is someone you recently started seeing, I say go ahead and do what makes you happy. If this is someone you've been partnered with for a few years, then I would say it needs to be a topic of discussion, with some middle ground compromise reached.

If I had to choose one, I would choose smooth since I've never been too thrilled with excessive body hair, but it certainly isn't a deal breaker if he was hairy. If he's more comfortable having hair, then that's fine with me.

Same here (used to be, I'm single now).

It's easier not feeling like you have a jungle on your skin. I use a Veet creme which is almost like shaving (works really well).
I decided not to remove hair from my chest and abs, though - I don't want it to grow back even stronger, bigger and nastier then before .

I've thought about Veet before, but something about the smell gets to me.

For chest and abs, I use an electric razor called the "Bodygroom." It's fast and cheap - and you can use it in the shower. I find that the hair doesn't grow back any worse than it was after you use this.

For legs, it's the Mach 3 razor and shower gel. Works like a charm!

I find it funny. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love natural body hair. Which is funny since I am not a very furry person myself. Not that I hate smooth, I just love running my fingers through some hair on muscle. Plus, you don't have to be smooth to see the muscle. Some of the hottest guys have a nice layer of hair that doesn't hide the muscles, but instead emphazies them.

But those are just my 1.25c (adjusted for inflation)

Hm, it does have that strange smell... but *shhh don't tell anyone* it's for my back and arms, kind of hard to reach with a razor . And Veet somehow softened the hair so it's not as bad as before.
Legs... nah - though I have it everywhere, my hair is neither too long nor to thick . Beside, hairy pecs are hot .

I'm extremely hairy, but I do shave from time to time. The men I've been with absolutely love the hair, but it does become annoying, especially on my shoulders and back. Been thinking about laser hair removal for those areas.

I just have some chest fluff myself (besides the regular spots and fairly hairy legs), and I prefer to keep that smooth. Shave my armpits too.

I prefer smooth on other guys, and I never liked hair much.

But guess what... my boyfriend happens to be pretty damn hairy and he doesn't like me shaving myself either. But he'll have to deal with it every now and then!
