Bollywood muscle transformation documentary

Hooray for Bollywood!

Just when I thought I was overtraining 6x per week, 2 hours per day I came across this video.

If you liked the ?Rocky? training montages, you may love this 18 minute video of Indian actor Aamir Khan, who proves that even with a considerable budget, a personal trainer, a team of stylists and the need to look good for a movie director, building 8 pack abs, a 44? chest (up from 38?) and 16? arms (up from 12?) takes over a year of inspiring and VERY hard work. Three hour daily workouts to be precise.

First, go to this link:

http://www.wittysparks.com/2008/12/2...determination/

Then scroll down to ?Aamir Khan?s ?Ghajini? Body?In The Making - A High Quality Eighteen Minutes Video? to play the video, which at the end features some pretty inspiring side-by-side before & after training sequences.

This transformation was in preparation for a role in ?Ghanjni,? a Bollywood movie released late in 2008.

Movie star make over

I guess I'm not as impressed with this, since it comes under the heading of,
"he's a movie star--he's SUPPOSED to look good!" He clearly did a lot of work and he did get in terrific condition for this role.

1. Starting out, he looks like he was a bit of a pudge. I'm reminded of Christian's Bale's work for the Batman movies. I think Christian had a better starting body condition. Khan looks like a medium height guy, whose body is a bit tending to excess fat around his pecs and waist. I guess he usually focuses more on his face, rather than his body, in his movies.
2. He really got ripped, and most of the exercises they show him doing - sit ups, leg raises, crunches, are to improve core strength, rather than pack on mass. He looks impressive at the end, with "functional looking" realistic muscle.
3. I hope the movie was worth it! I'll see if it's in IMDB.

Very handsome actor, though he looks to be quite a small short guy, but he built a really nice natural body.
Despite that, 3 hours a day I think it's too much for the results he got, he must be a hard gainer
I prefer his face and his haircut before the characterization, I don't like the prisoner kind of look.
The level of physical conditioning he got for the film can't be kept for very long, but it'd be nice he'd kept some big off-season muscles
