Is that synthol, look at the last pic. its just 1 big flat surface with no striations in it.

no that would just be a layer of fat over the muscle.. just enough to hide any striations most likely.. it looks fine compared to other off-season bb'ers... go search youtube for off season posing by branch warren my favorite look too

Looking at the other photos on musclemecca that he has posted I have to agree. He just has bad luck in that his body deposits fat in such a manner.

I have to say though the transformation from 145 to 230 is much more dramatic in terms of appearance than from 230 to 280, In person the difference is possibly much more noticeable, but just by the looks of the pictures I would not guess that he was anywhere near 280 in the 282 photo.

I understand that first half of the transformation is 85 pound gain and the second is only 50, but still, I would have figured more dramatic changes for a 50 pound gain.
