Finally putting on size My whole life, I've been skinny. People tell me I should be happy about that, but I've always wanted to get bigger. Well, at 26, I finally decided to get a gym membership. I've been working out three times a week, taking a few supplements, changed my diet a bit and the results are starting to show. I've gained about 30 pounds in the last three months and I've been getting remarks from nearly all my friends and colleagues, including those that didn't know I've been working out. Lookin' Good, Luvya! Your chest - waist taper is nice, your pecs, shoulders and arms are definitely filling out, and they all look solid! [BTW, your pecs don't look "weird". Maybe because you now have "pecs" and it's a new experience. I know the feeling myself, feeling and cupping muscle bulges on my chest where it used to be flat or even depressed from the rest of my torso -- feels great, doesn't it?!) Keep up the good work! Well done I agree with Mdlftr...I think your progress is quite good. I think your back shot at 150 was impressive. Now, it's even better. Nice growth all around. Keep it up! |

Way to go! As a former skinny kid, I could relate to when people tell you that you "look okay", even when you can't stand being skinny anymore. Congrats on breaking out of that mold, and continued progress and growth! Odd that you should ask that question about the pecs. When I first started out I swore up and down mine were not "right", as one pec was definitely smaller and more lopsided than the other. Of course after years of training and putting on a lot of weight they pretty much evened themselves out, probably due to the size and weight of them pulling themselves into shape! LOL! Well, I think it's been long enough for an update. I've been working out five days a week this summer. I hit a plateau in late Spring, so I decided to work on strength and definition and lost some fat - got down to 177 pounds. Now, I'm back up to 184 pounds. I'd like to be a solid 190 by the end of the summer. Here are some new pics from last weekend. My biceps suck, though my arms have gotten bigger. Wow, I think I should update this thread. Still working out regularly. Didn't like the way parts of me looked (namely, shoulders, chest, biceps, lats) so I've been training hard to balance myself out. Currently sitting at just over 200 pounds, trying to get to 210 before I cut down again. Don't have any true progress pics, so this will have to do for now. You're really making progress! I went back and looked at your first post, when you were 26 years old and 150#. Now you're 30 and 200# Feels great doesn't it?! Good idea to keep taking pictures in the same t shirt, year after year. Watch as it slowly stretches...and tears...and falls off in rags....! Not to freak you out, but as you get older, your metabolism will slow a bit and it will be easier to gain ( muscle) weight! Keep lifting and keep growing! Mdlftr |

Well, here are the long awaited progress pics. Since I'm in the process of bulking right now, I'm gonna try to post at the beginning of each month. Presently, I'm sitting at 206 pounds. I just finished my first ever cycle of creatine and I've been eating like a mofo these last few months. Started bulking at about 180-185 and trying to get to 210...at least to start. Quick update (sorry no pics this month): No real gains - I took a week off from the gym cause my body was kinda hurting me and not in a good way. So I lost a few pounds and only now am back up to 206. Probably gonna go on creatine one more time before finishing this "bulk." I'll post something around April 1. |
