I've built a pretty muscular body. But when I look at the mirror, I think that my glutes need some serious growth.

Any tips on getting firm round volume on the butt?

There's a thread about 20-rep squat programs on here, everyone who's tried it claims to have come away with more junk in the trunk.

You can start to train the hammies and glutes by doing stiff legged deads, hyper extensions, the abductor machine and ham glute raises. Squats help but they are not specifically targeting the glutes the way the exercises i mention will.

Yup...with one exception: if you do the full movement of a squat and drop your ass ALL the way down, the positive movement (pushing up) will help shape that butt a lot more than partial squats where you stop with your thighs parallel to the floor. But deadlifts and hyper extensions are winners (I'm not as familiar with the abductor machine) for glute development.

Yeah, the deadlift is winner for better glute development. You should try it with different squat techniques.
