Red face So. . . I spooked myself during a workout

Sad but true. I've only been lifting for a 2 months now and I have seen a real improvement in my overall appearance. Sometimes I do tend to forget when I look in a mirror, while working out (to make sure I'm making my movement as fuild as possible), that person looking back is myself.

I was doing some assisted pull-ups and happened to glance at the mirror near the top of the rep and nearly lost my grip when startled. A few that happen to be nearby when i did stumble off the machine chuckled at my goof. Hell, even I was laughing at myself. It's not the first time I spooked myself, but it is the first while I was working out.

At anyrate, has anyone else had something simular happen to them?

I had a similar experience the other night ragetiger. We (my 2 workouts buds and I) were doing tricep pushdowns. The one guy tends to have sloppy form rounding his shoulders badly. I was trying to show him how to keep his back straight and chest out while doing them. The other guy patted my left pec and goes "damn, look at his chest". I turned and looked in the glass next to us and I myself said "S**T". lol. I didn't realize I looked that big in profile. Nice ego boost at the end of our workout. Keep pumping my friend. I've been at it for 10 years, suffered a few injuries and learned from them. It's truly a marathon and not a sprint.

I didn't realize I had abs until I saw a drunken picture of myself.

Not quite the same, but I remember a similar problem the first time I completely shaved my head (at age 29), especially with catching my reflection in store windows & the like.
