Back to lifting (finally) Well today was my first day back in the gym since April. I've been doing nothing but cardio (15-30 miles a day on the bike) and have been on a super strict (low carb, low cal, low fat, high protein) diet. Also got super healthy overall -- cut out all artificial ingredients (colors, flavours, sweeteners, preservatives) and manufactured foods. Got my sodium really low and cut out all soft drinks and such while getting my water intake up to about 6 liters a day. Started the year at 278 lbs then managed to get that down to 260 but couldn't budge from that (that was before I started this diet). Since May 1st, dropped from 260 to 243 (last Thursday). Figure I'm about 239 right now. I'm shooting for getting my body fat below 10% before I really start working on growing again, but figured it's getting low enough now that I can at least get back to toning everything up. Anyway, went back today and did traps and shoulders and surprisingly it wasn't as bad as I expected. I'm going back later tonight to do abs and cardio, so we'll see how bad that hurts lol. I went running yesterday for the first time since the Army (7 years ago!). Then did my usual bikeride, and 12 miles out got a flat tire so that made for a LONG walk back! My legs were so sore this morning I thought I was gonna fall down the stairs! Oh well, here's to getting cut! __________________ Quit jerking off and morph yourself for a change! |
