Leonard’s school buddy - Part 3 - Scene 1

OK guys, here start what I promised, little scenes to keep the story going.

Scene 1: Ken goes to his next class

First period was over, and Highland High students rushed to leave their classrooms in order to chat, change books and do all the stuff they usually do between periods. However, several of them forgot to do whatever they were to do that day, because they faced with an unbelievable sight. Kennedy Rawlings walking the halls of the school, with his sleeveless red tank top clinging to the steely muscles of his titanic body.

Each group of ruckus students that saw Ken approach them, fell immediately silent and hastily moved out of his way. This reaction caused that in his advance the huge senior looked like a human wedge opening a path among a sea of dwarfs. However, as soon as the teens felt sure that he was far enough they started to talk in overdrive. Questions as "Who is that guy?", "Did you see that?" or "Do you fucking believe the size of those arms?", were among the most common. A modified and slightly milder version of the reactions that Ken got in the classroom early, repeated all along the halls as he walked.

Standing on the spot where he had parted ways with his friend, Leonard Hudson could see his slow swagging walk. Ken's wide shoulders could be easily spotted several inches over the heads of the mass of teenagers that populated the halls. Finally he lost sight of his friend when Ken entered into a classroom that have a very tiny Asian guy standing at the door. His dress shirt and tie gave him away as a member of the school staff, a teacher, Mr. Wong. "Poor bastard, he won't even know what hit him," the small senior mumbled, feeling sorry for the even smaller teacher. The frighten expression that showed in Mr. Wong's face when he saw Ken bend and turn side-wise to fit through the door was heart-breaking. Leonard noticed that the poor teacher's head finished way under the huge guy's shelf-like pecs, and he was sure that if they faced each other, Mr. Wong's face would be at level with Ken's second row of abdominal muscles. Shaking his head in pity, Leonard thought "By Aragorn's sword! One of Ken's legs looks heavier than his entire body." Then turning away he walked to his next class.

Peter Wong was the younger teacher at Highland High School. He was 24 and stood at a very unimpressive 5 feet 1 inches tall and weighted only 98 pounds of flesh and bones. The diminutive man was well aware of his pitiful dimensions, and how this affected his performance into the classroom. Because of that, he always aimed for a teaching position at elementary school level. It was the only place were he would be taller than his students, and he was actually very good with kids. Probably, because the little children could relate better with him as he looked least intimidating than the other taller grown-ups. However, fresh out of college the only available work position he found was as substitute teacher at the Business Communication class of twelfth grade at Highland High. The idea of teach seniors terrified the small man, but he forced himself to raise up to the challenge. He vowed to teach and inspire those kids, and was absolutely sure that the will love him for that. He was after all their teacher. Unfortunately reality and hope sometimes are out of synchrony.

Since he could remember all what Peter had wanted to do was teach, it was something deeply rooted in his core being, and he tried with all his soul to do it with his assigned students. The problem was that all them were so much taller than him that from the very beginning they mocked and disrespected the young teacher. In the two weeks he had exhausted himself trying to control his students, Mr. Wong came to the sad conclusion that he hadn't the strength of will needed to impose himself over the wild teens. That was the reason why the day he met Kennedy Rawlings, was the one he had planned to be his last at the school. Mr. Wong had made his mind to leave that ghastly place, and carried with him his resignation letter. At the end of the school day he would give it to the Principal Harvey, and will leave the place to sit and seriously recheck his assumed lifelong calling.

That is why when his brain was able to work again he thought, "Great! Just what I needed, a new uber-jock as good bye gift for Peter. I probably should just go and present my resignation right away." He played with the idea for a few minutes while the rest of the students filled the classroom, mocking and in some cases pushing him out of their way as if he were nothing more than an annoying insect. However, at the end he discarded it, he had a job to do and he will try to teach something to the ungrateful punks, even in his last day. The only good thing about the whole situation, was that he wouldn't have to endure their annoying company for long. That was what he thought, but fate had other plans for him, in the form of the gigantic muscular-packed body of a so-so good Samaritan bully-hater 17-year-old teenage boy named Ken.

good follow-up. Peter I think is going to get a student that while the biggest is going to be interested on what he teaches. Well, at least something like that hopefully. I look forward to reading more of the story.
