Panic Ridden - Any Potential?

Do you think I could get buff? I'm not the type that wants to get HUGE. No no. I want to be the bf of the huge guy, but I'd like to get buff.

How the hell do I start. I have a gym at my apartment complex w/ basic machines and I have some dumbbells and a bench seat.

I have no clue what I'm doing, uncharted waters, but who the hell care right?

So, my current BEFORE pics. Give me about 6 months to get after pics ok?

Your genetics look really, really good (long muscles, tight insertion points, etc.) but I don't think you will find the instruction, direction, and motivation you need in an apartment workout facility. If you can, do yourself a favor, and go to a real gym, and get a few sessions with a trainer, so you know what you are doing, and have fewer injuries. Also, that is where you will most likely find the buff BF... The other concern I have about your post, is that you expect, "After" pics in 6 months. Even if you don't want to get huge, that isn't long enough to get buff. I am not discouraging you (I'd love to see you jacked) but I don't want to see you get discouraged if results take a while (they always do... this is a long-term game).

Actually thats quite helpful. I was expecting great change in 6 months. To know it takes longer helps me be much more realistic thank you

In my experience, and watching others in my gym, you can't tell how good your body will react to training. I agree you should go to a real gym, and do for a basic strength program (non to very little of those isolation exercises for at least 6-12 months). google "starting strength". its a book, but the program is so popular, you'll find the details everywhere.
ask a trainer/friend to show you proper execution of the basics - squat, deadlift, press, benchpress : Proper technique above all else, to prevent injury!

What INM said...stick to the basics...compound movments versus isolation movments.

From a motivation standpoint, focus on inches, not pounds (that is, if you're wanting to put on muscle). You're bodyweight will fluctuate based on your weight routine and cardio mix. A lot of people look at that scale as the "all-telling" indicator of how they're doing without realizing muscle weighs more than fat. Along with your "before" pics, take you're "before" measurements, get into a consistent routine, and then take them again a month from now (no sooner).

GOOD LUCK!!!

Hmm. OK, with current money problems and a phobia of gyms, working out at the local LA Fitness (although extremely hot) is not an option. I need to make sure I can stick with this on a day in day out basis before signing up w/ a $30 monthly fee if that makes sense.

I do recognize the benifit of working out at a gym, but I have the commitment level of an ADD guy on caffine.

Thank you very much for the notes. I basically just need to get into the little gym here and do some exercerizes. If after 3 months I'm still going at it I'll join a gym.

Help me with basics - how the hell do I start?
