Time to GROW

Hey all,

I've been training since I was 22 and 55kg (128lbs) and as of Saturday I was 90kg (198lbs) at 28 years of age. I train for size and strength and I've trained naturally up until this point. I've just started the switch from a powerlifting type routine and diet to a bodybuilding focussed routine and diet. I'm aiming to cut down to 10 percent body fat before restarting my quest for mammoth size.

The reason I am posting here is twofold. Firstly, this site has been a major source of motivation over the years and secondly I am looking to make connections with people who understand the need for size muscle and power.

I have many pics/webcam etc. Just not too comfortable posting them publically. I'd love to hear from guys like me.

May I say, congratulations on your progress so far. You have followed the same regime as a friend of mine from Pennsylvania who started at age 7 and is now recognised as one of the strongest bodybuilders in the state (having won several state powerlifting titles and a couple of bodybuilding contests in the state as well). Do you have any contest plans for either 2013/2014?

Congrats on your accomplishments thus far. I was 140 (63kg) at age 23...so I understand what it takes to go from skinny guy to a muscle guy. Am presently on a bulking cycle myself. Hit me up if you want to discuss. Good luck.

Celtic Muscle - thanks for the kind words. im considering doing a natural competition around that time before I look at starting my first cycle. i think the powerlifting will help with the intensity and drive you need to grow muscle.

1bigwoof - definitely would like to hear about your experiences. sounds like you're pretty huge now. congrats

good job on your progress thus far. I'm not quite in the same boat as I came from being obese before and now am toning down while I build up the muscle, but I definitely understand the desire to get bigger muscle wise as I share that desire. Like you, this site has served as the main source of my motivation. I am hoping to do some form of a bulk during this winter if I get my body fat down enough. Best of luck to you!

Well done, bigger....you've added good size. What's your bf currently? You don't look too chunky. Just how massive do you plan to get?

Bigwoof- When I started my cut I was between 20 and 22 percent bodyfat. Was a bit surprised but that's what the calipers said. My pt says a lot of people drastically underestimate their bodyfat %. I'm hopefully sub-20 percent now.

How big do I want to get? as big as I can possibly get. Then way way bigger.

You definitely look sub-20 in the bodyfat category. You are definitely no longer the skinny guy. Good muscle growth while maintaining a tight midsection. Bravo.

1bigwoof- thanks for the encouragement. I really feed off it. I'm really happy with my progress and the fact that I've stuck to a pretty brutal program 100 percent for over 2 weeks now. Learning to set short term goals and monitoring my progress properly (rather than just aiming for HUGE) really seems to have helped. Definitely still aiming for HUGE though.

update

hey guys. just wanted to post a quick update. i've dropped to 81kg and 12% bodyfat. pretty happy with how I'm looking. now to grow as big as possible whilst staying reasonably lean.

Raven - I'm not sure what the difference is between the two faces :P
