This just popped into my mind...

What if someone could make others grow muscle (yound adult highschool ish) but only those who he hated. That is, what if the more he hated someone, the more that person grew until he could no longer resist them. They wouldn't necessarily shrink back once he likes them, but the point is that the people that would be growing would maybe catch on to the special guy's powers.

That is a warped idea IMO, burntjello! Why would you fantasize about someone that makes you feel like crap and give them more strength?

(I understand that we all have strange fetishes, but this one is a crazy one. I myself was a victim of bullying and antagonism in high school and find this to be shallow and frankly reckless. )

It's unorthodox, and dangerous if done wrong, but can be done with tweaking.

Hear me out before you ready the torches and pitchforks. Maybe, the bully's target has the ability a la the X-Men to turn negative emotions into muscle and strength. This target could have a kind heart and would only want to use his power to help others. I picture him as having a strong male role model in his life, possibly his father or, if the father were to be dead or otherwise not in the picture, an older brother or something. Maybe, the bully targeted him throughout high school and the target fed off of that hatred. The young target could be volunteering for a suicide prevention hotline or some such charity.

Very likely, this bully was using this to deal with his own latent homosexuality. He might hate the target because he (the target) represents something he's not: a person that is comfortable with being gay, or at least bi. After a few years, possibly in grad school, or after a tour of duty if he ends up in the military, the bully and his target could reunite and the former bully could confess the motives behind his bullying.

I don't think this is a bad idea at all BUT I do not want to see it as MG porn. At least not standard MG porn. Like many others, I was bullied in school. The idea of my bullies getting bigger and stronger (possibly meaner) before my eyes is terrifying. If sex is included then the idea becomes sickening.

However, Mr. Jello, if you went with this story in an organic way, exploring the hero and the bullies and some characters around them without focusing on fetish stuff, then I think the story would be fascinating. What a horror tale it would be! I can already see it as a metaphor for someone who enables their bullies by not standing up to them.

It would also be good to see how the hero tries to handle the situation. Can he use his powers to turn the situation to his advantage? If he does the usual muscle worship thing will the bullies treat him better (or worse?) Can he get the bullies to turn on each other? Can he master the power he has and turn it on himself or his allies?

I see lots of possibilities with this. All I'm hoping is that you don't turn it into rote BDSM/rape fiction.

Basically the guy is under a curse so the more he works out the more his boss and greatest enemy, gets totally buff.

Sounds interesting, albeit I think everyone is missing a way to make it less terrifying for the victims and more terrifying for the bully/grower - going off from what the others said so far.

Okay, so a bully is a jerk and loves it. So something inflicts the bully with this weird form of growing. The bully will grow a tiny bit every time he bullies others/becomes hostile. He grows more muscle than height, and eventually, his body stops growing taller all together. So he just gets wider, wider, and wider. Stretch marks, veins, inflexibility, bulging muscles, paper-thin skin; all the more noticeable or inconvenient parts of muscle building become exaggerated. He knows he's becoming freakish and life gets worse with every fit of rage he goes through; further more, the ever so real nightmare of becoming completely immobile looms over him. . . Sadly, changing one's personality isn't too easy. The only way to stop it is to get one of the kids he bullied in high school to help him; fat chance.

Either way it goes, it can be a short story with sex/muscle growth or it can be a drawn out story with many parts, a decent plot, character development, and etc.

It wouldn't literally fuel the muscle growth. The feeling itself would probably trigger the growth, and the more of a jerk the guy is, the more growth.
