Fit 2 Fat 2 Fit

Not sure if this has been posted before, but it's very impressive and inspiring. Plus: total hottie.

Mdlftr will become famous soon enough
Thanks for posting! I read about his experiment when he started. I never saw the conclusion.

I'm glad he was able to get his healthy form and weight back. At one point he resembled the people in some of those "gainer" photos from websites where people document destroying their own bodies by consciously gaining a bunch of fat because they think it is a sexual turn on. Wow -that's a horror story if I ever saw one.

Glad he's back in shape!

Huh

Just wanted to say that this test missed the whole point. Literally he wanted to prove to fat people that yes you can lose weight. The fact is that no matter what tests are taken or proof rolled out, some people can just never see that they can do it. Let me give you a glimpse into the head of a fat guy at the gym.
"Ok, I can do this, it won't be so bad"
"God those guys look great, hope I can be like them one day"
"They can lift ALOT of weight, way more than I ever could"
"Oh great look they are laughing, they must be laughing at me, fatty trying to get fit HAHAHA"
It gets really bad when one comes up to give you support because at this point you have put a film over yourself where everything they say is an insult no matter what. They say "You did great on that set", you hear "HA can't believe you couldn't bench at least 200lbs, GOD you are fucking weak!!"
That's the problem some people like me have sometimes about loosing weight. Just wanted to put that out there, Yes we know we could lose the weight, but we just get too miserable to care. So in conclusion, yes, he was able to go from Fit to Fat to Fit, but the BIGGEST problem with this is that he was fit in the first place, cause if you are a lifetime fatty, you can NEVER see yourself as fit. That is all, Have a good day.

It also helps that he is attractive no matter if he is fit or fat. Even at a heavier weight, I thought he was attractive. It isn't always about the muscle, but the person. Sorry, I know that has nothing to do with the topic, but oh well.

What a weird project. I don't know what it's for, but it seems like its one of those things fit people like to rub into fat people's faces. It's also a bit silly if that's the case - but I suppose it's silly no matter how you look at it.

That and the fact some people are genetically more likely to be fat. If you were fat through most of your childhood then chances are you're one of those perma-fatties. The ones who CAN lose weight with a lot of effort, but they can gain it back quickly unless they keep with the super healthy lifestyle. Which is depressing in itself, so I can see why "fatties" would have a low self esteem. Even if they do wind up fit, they know that it can all be lost as soon as they start slacking. sadlife

Ohh, I remember this guy.

He was (is?) a personal trainer that was frustrated that he couldn't motivate his clients who were heavier to get in shape. So he wanted to put himself in their shoes to see what it was like.

I heard a radio interview about this afterwards, and his wife was like 'before he did this he was one of those people that didn't like ice cream and didn't get why people obsessed over foods. He's a little more human now'

Thing is, if he was fit in the first place, that means he had a good metabolism, so losing weight would be easy. People who are naturally fat have slow metabolisms so it would actually be much harder for them to lose weight than this guy. So the experiment doesn't really prove anything, just that he has good enough metabolism that he can explode in weight and then lose it all again.

It's even more depressing when you think about it.
