Constant volcanic eruptions, some earthquakes and tsunamis destroyed parts of the planet and kill thousands of the 10 billion population, crammed between the tropics, as the rest sunk in water. High temperature, poisoned air and lack of rain made the animals and most part of the plants die. Garbage, toxic wastes and nuclear deposits, along with electric compounds and military bases formed the landscape. Tall and colorless buildings with several windows revealed the huge population density on the urban centers, reaching the mark of 50,000 inhabitants per square mile (130,000 inhab./km?).
The humans left on Earth decayed rapidly. They went from the pride predators to the weakest beings. Skinny figures, skeleton-like shorter slim shadows walked on the surface. They were nothing but bony and puny rats, as they had no muscle and no fat on their bodies, and stood at average 5?5? (1.65m) weighting around 80 pounds (36kg). The dust and smoke made the Latino, African, and Southern European ascendant?s faces look very dirty and harsh. They were very poor, and had very few to eat and drink, and so, the longevity went from 78 to 30 years in no time. The reminiscent, all of them don?t even think that exists other things outside Earth, and live their lives hoping that they wouldn?t suffer more.
After the end of such terror, in 2190 the richest ones fled to Mars.The majority of them were from German, Arabic, British, American and some from Asian ascendances.
In contrast, the life on the Red Planet was very peaceful then, with full resources for the 160 million people: fresh air and water produced artificially, plenty of food and energy. One day on Mars endures around 24h and 37min, while a year there has 686 days. The weather is very dry, with light yellow skies and an average temperature of 71?F (22?C), maintained artificially, as almost all things on the planet.
The inhabitants, majority from German, Arabic, British, American and Asian ascendances, developed bodies taller than normal earthlings, with average height around 6?3? This idea just came out of the blue, based on some of the stories and story seeds I read:

A young man is hiking through the woods near his home one full moon night, when he encounters a strange vessel. By its appearance, it's not of this Earth, though some elements of it seem familiar. ("Are those Egyptian hieroglyphics?") A door on the ship opens and out steps the ship's occupant. He looks like a Black man, only he stands 7'6" tall and weighs at least 500 pounds of massive, steel-hard, superhumanly strong muscle. His "hair," which could be mistaken for dreadlocks, is actually a series of tentacles that gather energy from multiple sources such as the sun and the wind. His eyes are luminescent gold with no visible pupils.

The being introduces himself as Min. The protagonist, who was always fascinated by Egyptian mythology, knows that this is the god of fertility in their pantheon. Min explains that the ancient gods and goddesses were actually aliens that came to Earth long ago from an alternate plane of existence. I imagine Min saying, "To paraphrase the human Arthur C. Clarke, any sufficiently advanced race of beings is indistinguishable from gods." (The actual quote has "technology" in place of "race of beings," and "magic" in place of "gods.") Min, like the other fertility "gods," has a nigh-insatiable libido as well as millenia of sexual skills to pass on. His priests and acolytes were exceptionally skilled in sexually pleasing others, having been taught by their god, and did so with great zeal.

The protagonist listens intently to Min's story, fighting the urge to jack off to Min's godlike physique and massive, near-constantly erect cock. Min tells him (the protagonist) that he is to become his (Min's) avatar on Earth. Since the alien gods can not enter our dimension without sufficient psychic input from humans in the form of worship, they will need avatars to help spread their message. The numerous Neo-Pagans of the world provide some, but not enough. To that end, Min offers to transform the protagonist into an avatar of Min with the machine before him. He agrees and steps into the machine. Moments later, he emerges as a 6'6" tall, chocolate-skinned being with the body of a super-heavyweight bodybuilder, the strength of a championship strongman, a cock that male porn stars could only dream of, and the implanted knowledge of millenia worth of sexual skills that will keep people (men and women alike) wanting him for years to come.
