a question about protein shake I have a doubt about it. You see, as I don't have much time to eat properly I started taking protein shakes (whey protein mixed with water) The thing is that i train 3 times a week and I hour after eating supper I go to the gym: 1 hour weightlifting (i wanna get bigger) drink half the shake 30min cardio (I wanna lose fat) drink the rest of the shake Apart from the fact that this way of training is gonna be slow (i know that, it's just that i don't want enything more in my midsection, that's what i do cardio as well and not just focus in weightlifting) i'd like to know if i'm doing it right with the drinking moment. Should i drink it all at first? in the end? at the middle? as i'm doing it now? early at morning? So many people has told me different things and i don't know which one is correct. What do you think? Do you have any tips? Thanks for hearing me __________________ The Internet is for PORN! -Trekkie- http://chocomus.deviantart.com/ http://yaoi.y-gallery.net/user/chocomus/ |

There is a lot of differing opinion on this. I've always gone with the protein before and protein after a workout. In reality studies show grams of difference in muscle mass. So it's likely that protein consumption at a certain time alone won't matter. However when combined with all the other "little" things you can do it makes a...mass of difference. Ha. Ha.. |

Buddy, Have something with a bit of protein and some simple carbs about an hour before working out. This will give you some energy for training. Immediately after working out take your Post Workout Meal which should be your Whey Protein; Dextrose; Creatine; Glutamine shake. Mixing it with water is fine. One hour later have your Post-Post Workout Meal, which should be real food high in protein and good fats. Eating your main meal an hour BEFORE working out is not a good idea. You need to get some better ideas about when and what to eat. Research is the key. There are lots of guys who know about this stuff. -BigLittletim |

Wow, thanks a lot, guys! It's true that before getting bigger i want to lose some weight first (just a bit in those bad areas) so i'm gonna put cardio before lifting and drink half the shake before the cardio, lift and then finally take the other half. (Too expensive to take 2 shakes per day) __________________ The Internet is for PORN! -Trekkie- http://chocomus.deviantart.com/ http://yaoi.y-gallery.net/user/chocomus/ |
