 Male muscle growth - strength improvement (OK, wsm) In my humble opinion, I think the improvement of World's Strongest Man competitors also qualifies as muscle growth. To that end... I caught the 2008 comp. just last night (Sat. 1/10). While Marius is amazing, and I just don't know what planet he comes from where the people are so strong, I was so disappointed that Derek Poundstone missed that last Atlas stone. I don't think it was anything he did wrong, except it being the will of the gods that the stone slipped. I saw it as snagging just at the edge of the stantion. And that's where he lost it. If Derek can repeat his performance, and improve, because his performance, imo was great, he'll get it hands down. But he may have competition from the other Americans. These are some big strong boys who are up and coming. Place Derek Poundstone, Travis Ortmayer and Dave Ostlund in a line-up, look real quick, and you're hard pressed to tell who's who. They are monsters! I personally am very proud of our guys. | anyone who has followed WSM in years past, notice how subdued Mariusz was at this year's comp? I mean no shirt ripping or flexing, and he did each event with a shirt on. Whatgives?  |
