Decent Progress? Just wondering how I'm doing in terms of progress. I started working out about a year and a half ago. I was a senior in college and I took advantage of the buffet-style dining halls so I was able to bulk up as much as I could from my starting weight of around 155 lbs. (6 ft. tall). Now, I'm in med school (22 yr old) and I have to cook on my own so it's been hard to gain mass but I'm trying my best. According to the crappy scales we have here at my gym, I'm about 172ish right now. I feel like I've reached a weight plateau though...probably need to eat more, right? It's already hard enough, especially with my fast metabolism. That's pretty amazing! Yeah I would say you have to eat more with your fast metabolism! I am sure you know your body already! You should let it have as much food as it wants! Btw, I'm extremely jealous! |

Thanks!!! hehe I guess I gotta eat more then *sigh*...who knew that eating a lot could be so hard? lol |

Man you are making some great progress, keep it up. |

Agreed....you have a lean build but it appears that you can put on some good size. I think with your metabolism, you could even add in an extra dessert each day just for added calories and you'd still burn it off and look quite lean. Good luck, flipdude! |

Thanks for the input guys! Adding dessert to my diet sounds good...been starving myself of them for awhile now...it'll have to be something healthy of course lol. |

You're making great progress too Aikuchi! You're definitely getting bigger in the chest and arm department. I've realized it takes a lot of time to make even a small amount of progress but if you stick to it, you'll eventually get the gains you want. |

Great Job You are looking awesome. When I am trying to gain weight, I make sure that I am both eating enough protein and eating carbohydrates along with all protein. Carbs --> insulin release --> protein uptake into muscle cells. Anyway, you have a great lean look and eating healthy foods should still be a priority. Eating more (healthy) meals per day and gradually increasing calories with each meal is the healthiest way to add lean bulk. I can't wait to see more pics. |
