Six months had passed and Nathan and Travis' relationship had soared. They were inseperable now... least in private. Nathan was still scared of what others would think, especially his Dad.

Travis on the otherhand was getting tired of the pretense. He'd had enough of his boyfriend ignoring him in school, not sitting with him on the bus and only coming to see him when his friend's were doing something else.

"Nath I'm sick of it! It's like I'm a hobby... something you do when there isn't anything else to do!" Travis shouted.

Nathan chuckled, something that made Travis angrier. "What?"

"Sorry... just you know I love... doing you whenever I can." Nathan flashed his most disarming smile. Travis was having none of it.

"I don't think it's funny! Unless you start being with me. Properly. I think... I think we should take some time... apart." Travis had tears in his eyes.

"Trav... no come on it's no big deal." Nathan moved to embrace him.

"No... get out!" Travis said pushing him and turning to look away.

Nathan stood dumbfounded a moment then walked out, slamming the door as he left.

"What the fuck's up with you shithead?" Chris asked showing the smallest amount of interest in his own question.

"Nothing." Nathan spat back.

"Fuck you dude, last time I'll ask!" Chris said shoving him.

Nathan span and dove at Chris driving him to the floor. Chris punched him in the chest trying to get him off him. Nathan hit back punching Chris in the stomach winding him. "Fuck Nathan, what was that."

Nathan stood up wiping dust from his cheek. "I was dumped shithead!"

"Dumped?" Chris laughed "By who? Your mom?"

"No Trav... I mean no..." Nathan blushed and sat back on the bleacher.

"Travis? You were dumped by Travis!" Chris laughed slapping him on the back. "You been fucking that little nerd? You're a fucking fag?!"

"Don't call him that." Nathan said sulkily.

"Yeah and what you gonna do faggot?" Chris said punching him in the ribs hard. Nathan crumpled over, his only just healed ribs screaming. Tears streamed down his face.

Chris kicked him in the ribs again, Nathan felt a snap and Chris walked off laughing to himself. "Fucking fag got dumped by a nerd... fucking hilarious."

The next day Travis called Nathan's.

"Yeah?" Nathan's dad answered.

"Hi sir, is Nathan there?" Travis asked, after the past six months dealing with Nathan's dad's gruffness had become second nature.

"Travis? No he's in hospital, that Chris beat him up. Surprised you ain't heard."

"Oh my god." Travis said slamming the phone down and grabbing his coat, as he did he knocked over a vial of the potion from his desk, shattering on the floor. He stopped and stared at it a moment.
